Important requirements for using the 400 GB and 500 GB
Fibre Channel disk drives
The use of the 400 and 500 GB FATA disk drive is supported only with the following minimum array
firmware versions:
• Enterprise Virtual Array version level VCS v3.028
• Enterprise Virtual Array version level VCS v4.001
• Enterprise Virtual Array version level XCS v5.030
Use of these devices at VCS/XCS versions lower than these minimums, or in usage environments that are
not recommended, can lead to unpredictable results including unstable array operation or data loss.
Please contact your HP Services representative for appropriate corrective measures if these minimum
conditions do not presently exist in your configuration.
