LED

Left Position
Indicates this is a left-side robot.

screen. The library is now ready to accept host commands using the non-replaced (active) robot.
IMPORTANT:
This does not mean the robot replacement is complete. Continue to next step.
23. The newly installed robot might not be finished with firmware autoleveling or its robot self-test
(RST). This may take a few more minutes. Wait until a message appears stating, Robot
replacement operation completed successfully. On the screen, the Replaced Robot
Status indicates Success.

If a Success message appears, click OK to close the success message. Then click Close to
close the wizard and continue to next step.

If a Failed message appears, click Close to close the wizard. Check for RAS events. If the
problem is due to improper installation, you need to remove the robot and try again using
the steps in this procedure.
NOTE:
If your library was shipped after May 2013, or is running firmware version 663H or
later, skip to Step 25. Menu commands and GUI screens may vary slightly.
24. Set the primary robot to whichever robot you want to be active. From the main menu, select
Tools→Library→Robot Failover. This screen highlights which robot is active. If no additional
failover or replacement procedures are necessary, click Cancel and move to “Step 5: Packing up
the failed robot” (page 27).
