Vary on the tower by pressing the Robotics
Enabled button on the rear operator panel. The
LED on the rear operator panel will turn solid
green when the tower is varied on.

Lift the motor assembly slightly off the bottom of

the tower frame and set it on the locating pins on
the mounting plate.

Insert and tighten the three (3) motor assembly
attachment bolts using the 5mm hex wrench.

Set the tension by turning the tension bolt
For important safety, environmental, and regulatory
counter-clockwise until the gap between the bolt
information, see Safety and Compliance Information
and the plate is approximately 5 mm. The spring
for Server, Storage, Power, Networking, and Rack
sets the tension, not the tension bolt.

The tension bolt is a tool and is
only needed to release or apply spring
force so the belt will have the correct
tension to operate the tower properly.

Tighten the lockdown bolt.

Use the tower handles to turn the tower slowly
and gently three complete rotations. This settles
the belt teeth into the tower pulley teeth until they
mesh. If you turn the tower too fast it may make
a loud slipping sound. Nothing has been harmed.
You need to turn the tower slower.

Loosen the lockdown bolt.
9.
Reset the tension by making sure the tension bolt
is backed off enough so there is a gap between
the bolt and the plate of approximately 5 mm.
NOTE:
Use the 5 mm hex wrench to
validate the necessary gap between the
bolt and the mounting plate.
10. Tighten the lockdown bolt.
11. Visually inspect the belt to see that it is level across
the motor pulley and tower pulley.
12. Repeat steps 7 thru 10 until the belt is tracking
evenly.
