Af ter reading, be sure to keep it where it can be seen by all those who use the prod uct. Precautions for Use • Do not use the product with non-compatible devices. • Unplug the power cable from the power outlet when not in use. • Do not short the DC plug. • Do not apply excessive force to the DC plug or cable while the AC adapter and camera are con nect ed. Failure to ob serve this precaution may re sult in malfunc tion. Connecting the AC Adapter Before connecting the AC adapt er, be sure the camera is off . Follow these steps to connect the adapter (Figure 2; illustration shows D80): 1 Plug the AC adapter plug into the AC adapt er (Figure 2-a). 2 Open the camera DC-IN connector cover and insert the DC plug into the DC-IN con nec tor (Figure 2-b). 3 Plug the wall plug into a pow er outlet (Figure 2-c). The POWER lamp will glow showing the EH-5a is plugged in. . IMPORTANT Before disconnecting the AC adapt er, be sure the camera is off . Unplug the DC plug from the camera’s DC-IN con nec tor, then unplug the power cable from the power source by pull ing on the plug, not the cable. Vielen Dank fur Ihr Vertrauen in Nikon-Produkte. Andernfalls konnen Fehlfunktionen auftreten. Anschlie.en des Netzadapters Schalten Sie die Kamera aus, bevor Sie den Netzadapter anschlie.en. Fuhren Sie die folgenden Schritte aus, um den Netzadapter anzuschlie.en (in der Abbildung 2 ist eine D80 abgebildet): 1 Stecken Sie den Netzgeratestecker in den Netzkabelanschluss (Abbildung 2-a). 2 Off nen Sie die Abdeckung des Netzadapteranschlusses, und stecken Sie den Stecker des Adapterkabels in den Netzadapteranschluss (Abbildung 2-b). 3 Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in eine Steckdose (Abbildung 2-c). Die Netzkontrollleuchte beginnt zu leuchten und zeigt an, dass der EH-5a betriebsbereit ist.
