Anleitung Zusammenfassung

IMPORTANT:
Use Xpinfo –e instead of Xpinfo –X when using P9000Info on the OpenVMS Integrity Server
(IA-64) platform.
Enhancements
P9000Info provides data on whether the following fields are supported for the operations between
a VMWare ESX host and the XP or P9000 disk array. This data is shown when you enter xpinfo
-X at the command prompt and helps you take decisions that positively impact the performance of
operations on the host:
• Write Same
• Extended copy (Full)
• Extended Copy (Fast)
• Compare AND Write
• Thin Provisioning Information Control
By default, P9000Info provides the above data for a VMWare ESX v5.0 or later host. However, a
suitable plug-in is required to view the same data on a VMWare ESX v4.1 host.
Fixes
P9000Info 23.00.00 includes the following fix:
P9000Info on a Linux, Windows, HP-UX, or Solaris platform works for XP20000 disk array when
RAID group 4-x with RAID Level 6 is configured on that disk array.
Notes
• Xpinfo -D command does not work on an OpenVMS Integrity Server (IA-64) host.
• On an OpenVMS Integrity Server (IA-84) host, P9000Info does not provide the data for: Alpa,
Loop Id, FC-LUN, Port WWN, Target, and LUN Id
• On an OpenVMS Integrity Server (IA-64) host, P9000Info does not provide the data collected
through RMLIB for: Pool Id, Total Pool Capacity, Used Pool Capacity, RAID type information, RAID
level, and Disk mechanics.
• If you are using P9000 Performance Advisor Solaris, AIX or HP-UX host agent, view the SLPR and
CLPR information for your XP disk arrays through P9000 Performance Advisor, as P9000Info for
these host agents displays random CLPR and SLPR values.
To view the SLPR and CLPR values through P9000 Performance Advisor:
1.
On the P9000 Performance Advisor Home page, click Array View in the left pane.
2.
Click the + sign for Arrays.
3.
From the list of XP and P9000 disk arrays that are monitored by P9000 Perf Advisor, click
the + sign for the XP and the P9000 disk array, for which you want to view the related SLPR
and CLPR data.
4.
Select LDEV from the list displayed.
5.
On the Array View LDEV screen, select the Column Settings check box.
