Note: If you select one of the factory-set picture modes (Sports, Standard, or Movie) and then change a picture quality setting (for example, increase the contrast), the picture mode automatically changes to Preference in the Picture menu. To save your new picture quality settings, you 36 32/36AFX61(E) Saving new preference You can save the PICTURE qualities (contrast, brightness, color, tint, and sharpness) you adjusted in the picture preference mode. To save your new preferences: 1. Press MENU, and then press x or • until the PICTURE menu appears. 2. Press y or z to highlight SAVE NEW PREFERENCE. 3. Press x or •. Using the flesh tone feature This feature allows you to obtain natural flesh tones by correcting the differences in tint among TV stations. To turn on the flesh tone feature: 1. Press MENU, and then press x or • until the PICTURE menu appears. 2. Press y or z to highlight FLESH TONE. 3. Press x or • to highlight ON. This is useful when receiving a broadcast with a weak signal or playing a videotape or disc damaged by repeated use. To turn on the noise reduction feature: 1. Press MENU, and then press x or • until the PICTURE menu appears. 2. Press y or z to highlight NOISE REDUCTION. 3. Press x or • to highlight ON.
