Anleitung Zusammenfassung

14). CAUTION: times. Keep tool pointed away from yourself and others at all Always connect tool to air supply before loading fasteners. Do not load fasteners with trigger or safety depressed. Always wear Z87.1 approved safety glasses, and hearing protection when preparing or operating the tool. Never use a tool that leaks air or . needs repair. ■ ■ 2. Depress latch (B) Fig. 15, open feeder cover and swing open magazine cover (see Fig. 16). 3. Adjust nail support (C) Fig. 16, for desired nail length: the nail support can be lifted and rotated to four different positions that provide support for different length nails as listed on the inside of the magazine nail holder. r * Fig. 14 Fig. 15 6 Fig, / > - N& iK\ 'w i ^kM0€ 4. Remove band from a coil of nails, uncoil approximately 3" of nails, and position coil into magazine nail holder with center of coil around nail support (C) Fig. 16, with the second nail in the feed finger (D) Fig. 17, and nail heads in nail head track (E) Fig. 17. 5. Close magazine cover, then close and latch feeder cover (see Fig. 18). NOTE: Make sure nail heads remain in nail head track (E) Fig. 17. 6. Adjust directional exhaust deflector (A) Fig. 19, so that the exhaust air blast will be directed away from the operator. The exhaust deflector provides seven detented positions for directing the exhaust blast away from the operator. Grasp the deflector and rotate it to the desired position for the current application. USING THE TOOL Complete all steps of preparing THE TOOL before using the tool. This tool can be fired in two different ways: 1. Position nose of tool onto work surface, push forward on tool to depress safety, and squeeze trigger to fire a fastener. This "trigger fire" method provides the most accurate fastener placement. OR 2. Depress and hold trigger while pushing nose of tool against work surface. The tool will fire a fastener each time the safety is depressed. This "bottom fire" method allows very fast repetitive fastener placement. The Restrictive Fire Trigger which will restrict the tool to "trigger fire method" only, is available free-of-charge by calling 1-800-321-9443 in the United States and Canada or 001 -901 -660-9374 outside the United States and Canada, and providing tool model and serial number. For identification purposes: the Bottom Fire Trigger is black and the Restrictive Fire Trigger is red. CAUTION: Remove finger from trigger when not driving fasteners. Never carry tool with finger on trigger: tool will fire a fastener if safety is bumped. Keep tool pointed in a safe direction at all times. Never attempt to drive a fastener into material that is too hard, or at too steep an angle, or near the edge of the workpiece. The fastener can ricochet causing personal injury. Disconnect tool from air supply before performing maintenance, clearing a jammed fastener, leaving work area, moving tool to another location, handing the tool to another person, or making adjustments. 7 Clean and inspect tool daily. Carefully check for proper operation of trigger and safety mechanism. Do Not use the tool unless both the trigger and the safety mechanism are functional, or if the tool is leaking air or needs any other repair. The depth that a fastener is driven is controlled by the adjustable thumb wheel depth selector (A) Fig. 20. Test fire a fastener and check depth. If a change is desired, rotate the thumb wheel (A), to the left to the next detent position to lower the depth or to the right to raise the depth. See pictogram shown in (B) Fig. 20. Test fire another fastener and check depth. Repeat as necessary to achieve desired results. The amount of air pressure required will vary depending on the size of the fastener and the material being fastened. Experiment with the air pressure setting to determine the lowest setting that will consistently perform the job at hand. Excess air pressure can cause premature wear and/or damage to the tool. A rubber nose cushion (C) Fig. 20, is provided to reduce marring of the work surface. The rubber cushion can be pulled off to provide increased depth-of-drive for toe-nailing applications. The nose cushion can be stored in the rear area of the magazine (A) Fig. 21, when not in use. CAUTION: Disconnect tool from air supply before removing or reinstalling rubber cushion. CLEARING A JAMMED FASTENER 1. CAUTION: Disconnect tool from air supply. 2. Depress latch to open feeder —— cover and magazine cover. Remove all remaining fasteners from the magazine. 3. Use a slender, soft steel rod to drive the driver blade to its uppermost position. Use needle nose pliers to remove the jammed fastener (see Fig. 22). 4. Follow instructions in PREPARING THE TOOL to reload fasteners. 8 MAINTENANCE CLEAN AND INSPECT DAILY CAUTION: Disconnect tool from air supply before cleaning and inspection. Correct all problems before placing the tool back in use. Wipe tool clean and inspect for wear or damage. Use non-flamma...
