Make yourself familiar with the operation and the controls of the tiller before you first use it. You must know howto stop the implements and the enginequickly. 2. Only use the tiller for soil cultivation. Any inappropriate use may be dangerous or lead to excessive wear on the machine. 3. Yourtiller has been manufactured to current European standards. For your safety, we recommend that you do not change the characteristics of the machine, and that you only use the implements and accessories recommended by the manufacturer. Your dealer will be able to provide you with the list of approved accessories. 4. Never allow children, or people who have not read the instructions, to use the tiller. National laws may impose a minimum age for users. 5. Do not use the tiller: - when people, and particularly children, or animals are nearby; - if the user has taken medicine or substances which may affect the speed of his reflex actions or his concentration; - without the mudguards or protective hoods in position; - on land where the incline is over 20o. 6. It is the user’s responsibility to evaluate the potential risks involved in working the land, and to take' the necessary precautions to ensure his safety, particularly on inclines and on rough, slippery or unstable land. 7. Always remember that the owner or user is responsible for any accidents and risks caused to third parties or their property. 8. Check the condition of the tiller before each use in order to prevent accidents and damaging the machine. 9. Ensure that all screws, bolts, etc. are tight. 10. ATTENTION - DANGER! Petrol is highly flammable. - Keep fuel in containers reserved for this use; - Always refuel out of doors before starting the engine, and do not smoke while refuelling or while handling the petrol; - Never remove the reservoir cap or add fuel with the engine running or while the engine is still hot; - Do not start the engine if you have spilt petrol: push the tiller away from the petrol-covered area and donotcreateasourceof flame until such time as the petrol fumes have had time to evaporate. - Make sure you close the reservoir and container caps tightly. After use, place the throttle lever in position «Stop» and close the fuel tap. 11. Start the engine carefully, following the instructions and keeping your feet well away from the rotary implements. 12. Do not runtheengine in aconfined space where fumes containing carbon monoxidecan accumulate, causing loss of consciousness and even death. Ensure good ventilation at all times. 13. Wear close-fitting clothes and sturdy, non-slip, work shoes which protect the whole foot. 14. If you are tilling on an incline, only half-fill the fuel reservoir in order to minimise the risk of petrol leaking out. 15.
