To charge the handset, place it in the base. If the handset is off, it will automatically turn on. To turn the handset off, press until the display turns off. To turn the handset on, press until the display turns on. If the handset is able to find a base, the display will show the handset number, the handset name (if one is assigned), the signal icon, battery icon, and the current time.
