The Alarm-2 Indicator will appear on the display, showing that Alarm 2 is set. 5. To disarm the alarm, press the Alarm 2 Button once. To re-arm, press the Alarm 2 Button for 2 seconds. Turning Off the Alarm • After the alarm sounds, press the Power Off Button to turn off the alarm. The alarm will be automatically reset for the same time the following day. Note: If more than one alarm is set, pressing the Power Off Button to stop the alarm that is sounding will not affect the other alarm, which will turn on at the time it is set for. • If you do not want the alarm to turn on the following day, press the corresponding alarm button once until the alarm indicator is turned off. • If the alarm is not turned off once it sounds, it will continue for approximately one hour, then turn off automatically. This cycle will repeat every 24 hours unless the controls are changed. 14 Snooze Operation To temporarily shut off the alarm, press the Snooze Button after the alarm sounds.The alarm will turn off then come back on in approximately 6 minutes. You may repeat this several times during the one- Dimmer Switch Set the Dimmer Switch to HI or LO to adjust backlight brightness depending on the brightness in the room. Stereo Headphone Jack Connect a headphone (not included) to the headphone jack on the right of the unit for private listening. The built- in speakers are shut off when headphones are connected. AUX- in/MP3 Input Operation This unit comes with an AUX cord allowing you to connect the unit to your MP3 player (or other devices with an audio out) to play through the built in speakers. 1. Plug one end in your MP3 player’s audio output jack and another end to the MP3-in jack on the left side of the unit. The MP3 Line- In icon appear at the lower left of the display, indicating the unit is ON. 2. Turn on your MP3 player to listen to your MP3s through the unit’s speaker. Adjust the Volume on your MP3 player to a comfortable listening level. 3. Press the Power Off Button to turn off the unit. Press the On/Sleep Button or turn the unit back on. Note: Once you plug a device into the MP3-in jack, most other sound functions ( other than alarm operation) are disabled. You will not be able to turn on the CD, radio or nature sound. Important! You should plug in the MP3-in cord for AUX input only and always unplug it for normal operation. 15 Troubleshooting PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE REMEDY The alarm does not sound • The alarm was not set correctly for AM/PM • Alarm icons are not on the display • Check the alarm time setting • Press the Alarm Button until the Alarm icon appears on the display The alarm sounds at an incorrect time • The wrong alarm icon was on the display • The alarm was not set correctly for AM/PM • Make sure the alarm you wish to wake to is the only Alarm icon that appears on the display Buzzer alarm is heard when waking to CD • A CD was not inserted into the CD player • The CD was inserted incorrectly into the player • Compartment CD player door is not closed • When waking to CD, always make sure a CD has been inserted • Always insert the CD with the label surface facing up • Push down gently until the door is completely closed • Connect to an AC outlet • Try the unit on another outlet • Do not use an outlet that is controlled by a wall switch • The unit is disconnected from an AC outlet • The AC outlet has no power • The AC outlet is controlled by a wall switch that is off There is no display and the CD/radio will not play • Check the bottom of the disc and clean if necessary with a soft cleaning cloth, always wipe from the center out • Clean with a commercial lens cleaner • Dirty or defective disc • Dirty lens CD skips while playing If you have any questions, call SDI Technologies Inc. Timex Audio Products Division Customer Service, 1-800-888-4491 16 Troubleshooting PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE REMEDY Poor FM reception on certain stations • Weak or distant station • Try adjusting the direction of the FM wire antenna Poor AM reception on certain stations • Weak or distant station • Rotate the unit to try and gain better reception Unit is on but there is low volume or no volume at all • Main volume has been turned all the way down • Headphones are connected to Headphone Jack • Raise the volume with the volume dial • Disconnect the headphones Unit shuts off unexpectedly • Unit was in the Sleep Mode instead of Power On Mode • The unit was turned On by the alarm and the alarm time ended • Press the Radio On/Sleep button once to turn the unit back on Cannot set the clock or alarm time • The display must be flashing • Press the Time Set button when setting the time or slide one of the Alarm- 1 or Alarm- 2 switches to the “Set” position when setting the alarm times If you have any questions, call SDI Technologies Inc.
