Pieces can break off the pad and short-circuit electrical parts, creating a possibility of an electrical shock. ¦ To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse plug, cord or motor base in water or any other liquid. ¦ Do not use an extension cord with this food crisper. However, if one is used, it must have a rating equal to or exceeding the rating of this appliance. ¦ The food crisper is for household use only. ¦ The food crisper should not be used for other than the intended use. ¦ The food crisper has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way, as a safety feature. Reverse the plug if the plug does not fit fully in the outlet. Contact a qualified electrician if it still does not fit. Remove all packing materials and literature. 2. Wipe out the inside and outside of the food crisper with a soft, damp cloth. Do Not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. NEVER immerse in water or any other liquid. How To Operate 1. Place the unit on a flat sturdy surface. 2. Open the door and place the food inside. 3. Close the door and plug the appliance in. Allow approximately 15 minutes for the unit to warm up after you plug it in.
