When discovering a device, if the read community name value is different from the one here, SyncThru™ Admin 5 cannot bring device information nor update other information. Usually public is set as a default name for read community name and so is SyncThru™ Admin 5. •Write Community : The default write community name SyncThru™ Admin 5 uses. When configuring a device, if the write community name value is different from the one here, configuration does not work properly. Default SNMPv3 Settings •Context Name •User Name •Security Mode •Authentication Protocol •Authentication Password •Privacy Protocol •Privacy Password Blocked Devices Discovery Discovery options Passive discovery options •Enable SLP Discovery : If you enable SLP discovery, SyncThru™ Admin 5 starts listening for UDP traffic via port 427. When devices are powered on, they announce packets and SyncThru™ Admin 5 detects. Only Samsung devices will be discovered. (SLP multicast address is 239.255.255.253.) •Enable mDNS Discovery : If you enable mDNS discovery, SyncThru™ Admin 5 starts listening for UDP traffic via port 5353. Devices announce packets continuously and SyncThru™ Admin 5 detects them. With this method, you can discovery all mDNS compatible devices. SNMPv3 Discovery option •Enable SNMPv3 Discovery : To discover SNMPV3 enabled devices, check this option. New Devices(Time Period) Passive discovery device list Alerts Viewing alerts list Modifying alerts •Severity level : This is the severity of the alert: Critical, Warning or Information. SyncThru™ Admin 5 defines the severity level of all the alerts on the list. If you want to change the severity level for the specified alerts, double-click the Custom severity level field of the alert you want to change. The field will become editable. After changing, SyncThru™ Admin 5 will refer to the custom severity level. •Supply level : This is a threshold for consumables-related alerts. When a remaining level reaches the defined supply level, SyncThru™ Admin 5 decides the specified alert happens. There are three types of supply level alerts. If you want to change the supply level of these alerts, double-click the Default supply level field of the alert you want. The field will become editable. Three types of supply level alerts are as follows: -No toner level -Low toner level -Low toner level early warning Alert Notifications Registering Alert Notifications 1.From SyncThru™ Admin 5, click Settings menu > Settings > Device Management > Alert Notifications. The Alert notification window appears. Viewing Alert Notifications list •Name : The configured name of the alert notification. •Creation Date : The date and time the alert notification created. •RSS : You can see the RSS information when you click it. You can receive this alert notification via RSS using this information. •Modfiy : You can modify alert notifications if you click this button (See"Alert Notifications" on page 77).
