Using the AC adaptor Connect the AC adaptor supplied. Using the dry cell batteries (not included) Insert two LR6 (UM-3) alkaline batteries or two LR03 (UM-4) alkaline batteries using the supplied adaptor. When using LR6 (UM-3) batteries 1 Insert the batteries. 1 + - 2 3 2 Close the battery lid. When using LR03 (UM-4) batteries 1 Insert the adaptor. 1 2 Reverse the above procedure to remove the adaptor. 2 Insert the batteries. + - 3 Close the battery lid. Note! Turn the unit off before replacing the dry cell batteries. 1 2 LOCK Slide the switch to lock the lid. Using the rechargeable batteries (not included) Removing batteries Push up on the battery in the direction indicated by the arrow. Then lift it out. (Remove LR03 (UM-4) batteries in the same way.) If the battery lid comes loose Slide the lid back into place horizontally. Charging procedure 1 Insert the rechargeable batteries. (Refer to “Using the dry cell batteries”.) 2 Connect the AC adaptor.
