13 Insert the coff ee grounds drawer. Monthly cleaning of the Cappuccinatore Every month you need to perform a more thorough cleaning of the Cappuccinatore using the “Saeco Milk Circuit Cleaner”. You can purchase separately the “Saeco Milk Circuit Cleaner”. Please refer to the maintenance product page in this user manual for further details. 1 Make sure that the Cappuccinatore is correctly installed. 2 Pour the milk cleaner bag into a container. Add . lt of lukewarm water and let it dissolve completely. 3 Insert the suction tube in the container. ENGLISH 33 Green Green 4 Place a large container (1.5L) under the Cappuccinatore. 5 Press the “ ” button. This icon is displayed. Press the “ ” button to steam dispensing. Yellow 6 The following icon may be displayed during the preheating time required by the machine. 7 The following icon will be displayed during the dispensing. When the solution is fi nished, press the “ ” button to stop dispensing. Warning: Never drink the solution dispensed during the procedure. 8 Rinse the container thoroughly and fi ll it with . lt of fresh water to be used for rinsing cycle. 9 Insert the suction tube in the container. 34 ENGLISH 10 Empty the container and place it back under the Cappuccinatore. Green Yellow Green 11 Press the “ ” button. This icon is displayed. Press the “ ” button to steam dispensing. 12 The following icon may be displayed during the preheating time required by the machine. 13 The following icon will be displayed during the dispensing. When the water is fi nished, press the “ ” button to stop dispensing. 14 Wash all the Cappuccinatore parts by following the instructions below. 15 Remove the suction tube. 16 Remove the Cappuccinatore from the machine. ENGLISH 35 17 Remove all the parts shown in the picture. 18 Wash all the parts with lukewarm water. 19 Make sure that any milk residues are removed from the slot of the coupling (see arrow in the image on the left). If you don’t do this you will not be able to froth milk. Clean it thoroughly with an abrasive damp cloth. 20 Reassemble all the Cappuccinatore components and place it back in the machine. 21 Insert the Cappuccinatore until it locks in place in the steam wand seat (Fig.A). Caution: If the Cappuccinatore is fi tted up to its limit stop (beyond the highlighted seat), it might not operate correctly since no milk is sucked; in this case stop brewing, let the Cappuccinatore cool down and SLIGHTLY move it downwards (Fig. B) to place it back in its proper seat (Fig.A). Follow this procedure to restore the correct operation of the Cappuccinatore. 36 ENGLISH 1 Apply the grease evenly on both side guides. 2 Lubricate the shaft too. Monthly lubrication of the brew group Lubricate the brew group after approximately 500 cups of coff ee or once a month. You can purchase separately the Saeco grease to lubricate the brew group. Please refer to the maintenance products page in this user manual for further details. Caution: Before lubricating the brew group, clean it under fresh water and dry it, as described in the “Weekly cleaning of the brew group” chapter. ENGLISH 37 3 Insert the brew group in its seat until it locks into place. (see “Weekly cleaning of the brew group” chapter). Insert the coff ee residues drawer. 4 Close the service door. Insert the coff ee grounds drawer. Monthly cleaning of the brew group with “Coff ee Oil Remover” Besides weekly cleaning, we recommend running this cleaning cycle with the “Coff ee Oil Remover” after approximately 500 cups of coff ee or once a month. This operation completes the maintenance process of the brew group. You can purchase separately the “Coff ee Oil Remover”. Please refer to the maintenance products page in this user manual for further details. Caution: The “Coff ee Oil Remover” tablets are to be used for cleaning only and do not have a descaling function. For the descaling procedure use the Saeco descaling solution and follow the procedure described in the “Descaling” chapter. 1 Place a container under the dispensing spout. 2 Make sure the water tank is fi lled with fresh water up to the “MAX” level. 38 ENGLISH 3 Put a “Coff ee Oil Remover” tablet in the pre-ground coff ee compartment. Green 4 Press the “ ” button one or more times to select the pre-ground coff ee function, without adding ground coff ee. 5 Press the “ ” button to start a coff ee brewing cycle. 6 Wait until the machine automatically ends the dispensing process. 7 Press the “ ” button to turn off the machine, and let the solution take eff ect for approximately 15 minutes. Make sure you discard the dispensed water. 8 Turn on the machine and wait until the rinse cycle is completed. 9 Remove the coff ee ground drawer and open the service door. Remove the coff ee residues drawer and then the brew group. 10 Wash the brew group thoroughly with fresh water. ENGLISH 39 Green 11 After rinsing the brew group, insert it again in its seat until it locks into place (see “Weekly cleaning of the brew group” chapter)....
