Anleitung Zusammenfassung


Do not operate unless feet have been installed. Do not use heater in any orientation other than upright as shown in manual. To assemble: 1. Be sure heater is unplugged and OFF. 2. Turn heater upside down. 3.Remove center screw from end piece and position foot on base of heater (A). 4.Replace screw and fasten foot securely in place (B). 5.Repeat procedure to position foot on opposite side. 6.Set heater right side up. The Advanced Safety Technology™ (AST) system features unique technology built into heater that offers protection detailed in the "Special Features" section. Included in AST is an anti-electric shock device built into the line cord and equipped with a test button to check operation: 1. Press RESET button on line cord safety device (C). 2. Plug heater into a regular AC electrical outlet. 3. Press TEST button and RESET button will pop out (C). This verifies that safety device is operating properly. Repeat this procedure each time you use heater to confirm safety device is operational. Should RESET button not pop out, do not use unit. Call the appropriate toll-free number on the cover of this book. At any time, should unit detect an electrical shock hazard, it will immediately shut off. To restore power, you must press RESET button on the line cord protection safety device to reactivate circuit. Important: During the first few minutes of initial use, you may notice a slight odor. This is normal and will quickly disappear. Use heater only on floor. Do not use in wet or moist locations, like bathrooms or laundry areas, or in areas where paint or other flammable or volatile liquids are used or stored. Note: To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surface, like a bed, where openings may become blocked. Caution: Be sure no other appliances are plugged into same circuit with this heater/fan. A circuit overload could occur. 1. Be sure switch is in OFF position before plugging in unit. Plug into an AC outlet. Press one 750W switch for a small room or press both 750W switches for a larger room (D). 2. Turn thermostat control to MAX. Once desired temperature is achieved, lower thermostat until you hear it click or unit turns off. The heater will automatically cycle on and off to maintain your chosen room temperature. 3. To increase disbursement of heat, turn on fan during heating cycle. 4. To use as a fan without heat, make sure both 750W switches are turned off and press FAN switch. No heating will occur in this mode. 5. The power indicator light on each switch shows the heater is turned on and operating. The light(s) will continue to glow even if thermostat has cycled and heating elements are off. Special Features and the Advanced Safety Technology™ (AST) System 1. This unit is equipped with a safety auto off, plus a safety thermal fuse and CAUTION light. If the unit experiences excessive heat, the safety auto off will shut off unit, and CAUTION light will go on. If this happens, move lever to OFF immediately. Be sure front vent is not blocked and nothing is restricting airflow. If CAUTION light stays on, unplug unit, let it cool down, and wait 10 minutes before plugging it back in to operate. Readjust your temperature or room settings. If unit fails to operate after 10 minutes, it may mean heater has internal damage and thermal fuse has been tripped so heater can no longer operate. 2. A built-in tip-over switch will cut the power if unit is accidentally knocked over in any direction. To reset, stand heater upright and wait a few seconds for it to begin operating again. Care and Cleaning This appliance is permanently lubricated and will not require additional lubrication for the life of unit. It contains no user serviceable parts.
