PLAYING MP3 DISCS MP3 is a digital audio format. An audio CD-quality song is compressed into the MP3 format with no significant loss of audio quality. CD-R / RW discs that have been encoded in MP3 format are compatible with this device. Insert a MP3 Disc, the DVD player will initialize the disc and the directory (folder) will be shown on the monitor. ‘MENU Screen’ Display When an MP3 disc is inserted into the unit, the menu screen appears automatically. You can use the menu screen to change folders and songs. The system plays the songs in the order they were recorded onto the disc. 1. Press the or button to choose a folder from the folder list on the left side of the screen. 2. Press ENTER to select the highlighted folder. All songs available under the selected folder will be listed on the right side. 3. Use the or button to choose a song from the list then press ENTER to play the selected song. 20 4. Use the ( NEXT ) button to move to the next song. Press the (PREVIOUS) button to move to the beginning of the song. USING THE REPEAT FEATURE The default mode for the Repeat feature is OFF. Pressing REPEAT consecutively changes the repeat options: • Repeat Single(repeat playback of a song) • Repeat All(repeat playback of all folder) • Off (normal playback) Pressing REPEAT a 3rd time will cancel the repeat mode and resume normal playback. NOTICE • “ ” sign in front of a file name indicates that this is a folder, not a MP3 file. • “ ” sign in front of a file name indicates that this is a MP3 file. During MP3 playback, you cannot access “PLAY MODE” or folders. L. PLAYING A JPEG FILE 1) Insert the JPEG Disc into tray. 2) Select the JPEG folder by pressing the “UP/DOWN” button. Then press ENTER or PLAY. 3) Select the JPEG file using the up/down button and then press “ENTER” or “PLAY”. 4) Pressing the left or right button will rotate the JPEG counterclockwise or clockwise. 5) When browsing the photos, you can reverse the photo 180 degrees by using the “UP/DOWN” button. 6) You can enlarge the picture by pressing “ZOOM” . 7) To stay on a specific photo press the pause button. 8) To skip forward or backward use the skip +/skip- button. 21 M. SETUP Press ‘SETUP’ to display the Main screen of the SETUP Menu. Press ‘SETUP’ again to exit the SETUP Menu and the unit will resume it’s last playback mode. Main ‘SETUP’ Menu Screen 1) Select the ‘LANGUAGE’ page using the LEFT/RIGHT button. ‘Language’ Display a. Select ‘OSD Menu’ using the UP/DOWN button, then press ENTER to enter the submenu. Select the OSD language you desire using the UP/DOWN button, then press ENTER/LEFT to confirm the setting and exit. ‘OSD Menu’ Display 22 b. Select ‘Subtitle’ using the UP/DOWN button, then press ENTER to enter the submenu. Select the ‘Subtitle’ language you desire using the UP/DOWN button, then press ENTER/LEFT to confirm the setting and exit. ‘Subtitle’ Display c. Select “Audio” using the UP/DOWN button, then press ENTER to enter the submenu. Select the audio language you desire using the UP/DOWN button, then press ENTER/LEFT to confirm the setting and exit. ‘Audio’ Display d. Select ‘Disc Menu’ using the UP/DOWN button, then press ENTER to enter the submenu. Normal/LB: This displays a picture on the screen with black bands on the upper and lower portions of the screen. Wide:This displays a wide picture on the screen with black bands on the upper and lower portions of the screen. The bands will vary, depending on what aspect ratio the disc is. * Note: This setting is for the video output only. 24 b.
