Bluetooth output setup You can select speakers to output the sound from cell-phone (such as phone call voice and ringing tone) and Bluetooth audio player. Touch [Front Only] or [All] of [Bluetooth HF/Audio] in the Bluetooth SETUP screen. 1 Front Only Outputs from the front speakers. All Outputs from all speakers. Hands-Free Control You can perform various setup about hands- free function. 1 Press the button. Hands Free screen appears. 2 Touch desired key in the Hands Free screen. See the following section for each setting. • Set up the Hands-Free system (P.63) • Set up SMS (P.64) • Preset the phone number (P.66) Setting up the Hands-Free phone Touch [TEL SETUP] in the Hands Free screen. 1 Hands Free SETUP screen appears. Set each item as follows. 2 Auto Response*1 Setsanautomaticresponsetimetopick-upan incomingcall. OFF (Default):Automaticresponseisnotavailable. 0-99:Setcallingringtime(second). Phone Information Use Sets whether to download phonebook for outgoing, incoming and missed calls list. ON (Default): Yes. OFF: No. Return to the Top page Bluetooth Operation SMS Use Select whether to use SMS. ON (Default): Uses SMS. OFF: Not uses SMS. Sort Order Sets how to arrange the cell-phone phonebook. First: Arranges in the order of first name. Last (Default): Arranges in the order of last name. Echo Cancel Level Adjusts the level of echo cancellation. Default is “0”. Microphone Level Adjusts the sensitivity of the telephone microphone. Default is“20”. Noise Reduction Level Reduces the noises generated by surrounding environment without changing the microphone volume. Use this setting when the voice of caller is not clear. Default is“0”. [Restore] Resets the settings to the default settings. *1 Either the time interval for automatic answer set on this unit or the time interval set on the cell-phone, whichever is shorter takes effect. Return to the Top page Bluetooth Operation SMS (Short Message Service) You can use SMS function. 1 Touch [SMS] in the Hands Free screen. SMS Select screen appears. 2 Select desired function from the list. [Create Message] Creates a message. For details, see Creating a new message (P.65). [Received Message List] Displays the received message list. [Sent Message List] Displays the sent message list. [Draft] Displays the newest draft message. This key becomes active when any message has been created after turning power on. [Download] Retrieves message. Operations in the message list screen Calls the number in the message Select desired message from the message list. Displays message Touch [DISP] to display the selected message. Create a return message Touch [SMS]. Creating a new message Touch [Create Message] in the SMS Select screen. 1 SMS Create Menu screen appears. Return to the Top page Bluetooth Operation Changes the layout of the character keys [ABC]: Alphabetical layout [QWE]: Qwerty layout [ALT]: Alternate key Erases the entered character Touch [Clear]. To erase all the input characters, touch for 2 seconds. Enters a space Touch [Space] at desired position. Touch [Send]. 5 The message is sent. NOTE • [Delete] appears only when a draft message is being edited. Touching [Delete] deletes the message. After you touch [Delete], a confirmation message appears. Follow the message and complete the operation. Return to the Top page Bluetooth Operation Using templates You can create a message easily by selecting the desired sentence from the template list. 1 Touch [Create Message] in the SMS Select screen. SMS Create Menu screen appears. 2 Touch [Template]. Template list screen appears. Touch the desired template. Selected template is entered. Phone number preset You can register frequently used phone numbers to this unit. Touch [Preset 1], [Preset 2], or [Preset 3] for 2 seconds in the Hands Free screen. NOTE • When there is no preset number, touching the key momentarily moves to the step 2. See the table below for explanations for each key.
