The appliance complies with the protection class I. Connect the appliance to 220–240 V/50 Hz alternating current via a correctly installed socket with protective conductor. The socket must be fused with a 10 to 16 A fuse. For appliances operated in non- European countries, check whether the stated voltage and current type match the values of your mains supply match the values of the mains supply. Setting the temperature Turn temperature controller, Fig. 2/A, to the required setting. When the controller is at a medium setting, the temperature drops to approx. + 4 °C in the coldest zone. We recommend: ¦ Perishable food should not be stored above +4 °C. ¦ Low setting for short- term storage of food ( energy- saving mode) . ¦ Medium setting for long-term storage of food. ¦ Select a higher setting only temporarily, when the door is frequently opened or large quantities are placed in the refrigerator compartment. Refrigeration capacity The temperature in the refrigerator compartment may rise temporarily if large amounts of food or a lot of drinks are placed inside. Therefore the temperature controller should be set to a higher setting for approx. 7 hours. en Freezer compartment The temperature in the freezer compartment depends on the temperature in the refrigerator compartment. Lower temperatures in the refrigerator compartment also cause lower temperatures in the freezer compartment.
