Fit the two plastic wall spacers supplied with the appliance rotating 1/4 turn to the condenser at the back of the appliance (Fig. 3). • The device should be located on a smooth surface. The two front feet can be adjusted as required. To ensure that your appliance is standing upright adjust the two front feet by turning clockwise or counter-clockwise, until the product is in firm contact with the floor. Correct adjustment of feet avoids excessive vibration and noise. Electrical connections Warning This device must be grounded. • Check whether the power type and voltage in the device location corresponds to the one stated on the rating label inside the device. • The electrical safety of the device is only assured when the grounding system in the house is installed in accordance with regulations. • When putting the device in, do not stand it on the power cable, otherwise the cable will be damaged. • Ensure that the plug remains readily accessible. Bottle shelf How to use the accessories Crisper separators (Fig. 7-a) The separators inside the crisper are designed to protect fruits and vegetables against bruising. Crisper humidity controls (Fig. 7-b) This has been designed to keep your vegetables fresh, without losing moisture. For this purpose, cold air circulates around the crisper. The amount of cold air passing out of the crisper can be regulated with the controls found on the front of its cover. You may set the humidity-control knob to the position appropriate to adjust the degree of moisture and coldness of the foodstuffs inside. If you want these to cool further, set the control to “Open”, if you want them to cool less but retain their moisture for a long period, set it to “Closed”. Positions in between allow you to regulate cooling and moisture-retention as you desire. Sliding storage boxes (Fig. 7-c) This accessory is designed to use the door shelves’ volume more efficiently. Moving those boxes right or left helps to easily settle high bottles to the shelf below. (Also see the section“Cleaning and care”) • Set the thermostat knob half way between 1 and 5 or Min. and Max. • Now connect the device to the mains. The compressor is turned on; the interior light comes on when the door is opened. Do not place foodstuff into the refrigerator until the temperature has reached the desired level. Please choose the setting according to the desired temperature. You can stop operation of your device by adjusting the thermostat knob to “0” position. Please note that there will be different temperatures in the cooling area. The coldest region is immediately above the vegetable compartment. The interior temperature also depends on ambient temperature, the frequency with which the door is opened and the amount of foods kept inside. Frequently opening the door causes the interior temperature to rise.
