Anleitung Zusammenfassung
Note: To bind odours in circulating-air mode, you must install an activated carbon filter. The different options of operating the appliance in circulating-air mode can be found in the brochure or ask your dealer. The required accessories are available from specialist outlets, from customer service or from the Online Shop. The accessory numbers can be found at the end of the instructions for use. Operation These instructions apply to several appliance models. It is possible that individual features are described which do not apply to your appliance. Note: Switch on the extractor hood when you start cooking and switch it off again several minutes after you have finished cooking. This is the most effective way of removing the kitchen fumes. Control panel variant 1 . . . . Control panel variant 2 . . . . . Setting the fan ¦ Press the #button to switch on the appliance. The fan starts at setting 2. ¦ The fan can be set manually (model 1 and model 2) or automatically (model 2 only). Manual mode Increase fan setting by pressing the + button and reduce it by pressing the – button. Automatic mode The appliance must be switched on. ¦ Press button !. ¦ The optimum fan setting 1, 2 or 3 is automatically set via a sensor. Sensor control In automatic mode sensors on the extractor hood detect the density of the kitchen fumes. Depending on the setting of the sensors, the extractor hood automatically switches to another fan setting or switches off after some time. Factory setting: Setting † Lowest setting: Setting ‹ Highest setting: Setting S If the sensor control responds too quickly or too slowly, it can be changed accordingly: 1. When the fan is switched off, hold down button ! for 4 seconds. The setting is displayed. 2. The setting of the sensor control is changed by pressing the + or – button again. 3. To acknowledge the inputs, hold down the ! button for 4 seconds. Intensive setting You can use the Intensive setting for particularly strong odour and fume generation. ¦ Press button &. ¦ Is indicated on the display ›. The duration is limited. Then the fan is automatically reduced to a lower setting. You can reduce the setting any time by pressing the & button again. Switching on fan run-on ¦ Press the x button (model 1). The fan runs for 10 min at setting 1. Then the fan switches off automatically. ¦ Press the ! button (model 2). If there are no kitchen fumes, the fan runs for some time at Setting 1. Then the fan switches off automatically. Light The light canbe switched on and off independently of the fan. Press button A. Setting the brightness You can select two brightness settings. Press button A. The brightness is increased by one setting. Saturation displays When the metal-mesh grease filters or the activated carbon filter are saturated, a signal sounds for 4 seconds after the fan is switched off. In addition, the following symbol is indicated on the display: ¦ Metal-mesh grease filter: !? ¦ Activated carbon filter: "? Now, at the latest, the metal-mesh grease filters should be cleaned or the activated carbon filter changed. While the saturation displays are flashing, they can be reset. To do this, press the – button. Switching over the display for circulating-air mode For circulating air mode the electronic control display must be switched over accordingly: ¦ The extractor hood must be connected and switched off. ¦ Simultaneously press the #and x buttons until " is lit (model 1). ¦ Simultaneously press the #and ! buttons until " is lit (model 2). ¦ Repeatedly press the button combination to switch the electronic control display back to exhaust air mode (display !). Acoustic signal When a button is pressed, an acknowledgement signal sounds. Switching off the acoustic signal When the fan is switched off, simultaneously hold down buttons #and + for approx. 3 seconds. An acknowledgement signal sounds. Switching on the acoustic signal Repeat the “Switching off the acoustic signal” process. Installing and removing filter a=Risk of burns, risk of electric shock! from appliance. Always leave appliance to cool down before cleaning or servicing. Switch off fuse or pull out mains plug. Removing metal-mesh grease filter 1. Open lock and fold down the metal-mesh grease filter. In doing so, place other hand under the metal-mesh grease filter. 2. Take metal-mesh grease filter out of the holder. With edge extraction 1. Pull metal-mesh grease filter downwards. In doing so, place other hand under the metal-mesh grease filter. 2. Take metal-mesh grease filter out of the holder. Notes ¦ Grease can accumulate in the bottom of the metal-mesh grease filter. – Do not hold metal-mesh grease filter at an angle, otherwise grease will drip out. Installing metal-mesh grease filter 1. Insert metal-mesh grease filter. In doing so, place other hand under the metal-mesh grease filter. 2. Fold up metal-mesh grease filter and lock.
