Anleitung Zusammenfassung
The data file name flashes. • The file is damaged. • The file format is not supported on your camcorder (p.129). Recording Refer also to “Adjusting the image during recording” (p.109). Pressing START/STOP or PHOTO does not record movies/still images on the disc. • The playback screen appears. Press PLAY/EDIT or touch on the LCD screen to display the recording screen (p.34, 40). • Your camcorder is recording the scene you have just shot on the disc. You cannot press PHOTO while [CAPTURE] or appears on the LCD screen (p.33, 39). • The disc has run out of space. Use a new disc or format the disc (DVD-RW/DVD+RW only, p.60). Or delete the unnecessary images (p.85). • The DVD-RW (VIDEO mode)/DVD+RW has been finalized. Make a disc to be able to record additional scenes (p.59). • The temperature of your camcorder is extremely high. Turn off your camcorder and leave it for a while in a cool place. • Moisture condensation has occurred with the disc. Turn off your camcorder and leave it for about 1 hour (p.133). You cannot record on the “Memory Stick Duo.” • Release the lock on the write-protect tab of the “Memory Stick Duo” (p.129). • The “Memory Stick Duo” has run out of space. Use a new “Memory Stick Duo” or format the “Memory Stick Duo” (p.74). Or delete the unnecessary images (p.84). The ACCESS lamp lights up even when you stop recording. • Your camcorder is recording the scene you have just shot on the disc. The recording angle differs depending on the POWER switch setting position. • The recording angle for the still image is wider than the one for the movie. Troubleshooting The shutter sound is not heard when you record a still image. • Set [BEEP] to [ON] (p.78). Troubleshooting (continued) The flash does not work. • You cannot record with the flash with: – During recording movies –[SUPER NS] – [COLOR SLOW S] – [D. EFFECT] –[ BURST] – The conversion lens (optional) attached • Even if auto flash or (Auto redeye reduction) is selected, you cannot use the internal flash with: – NightShot – [SPOTLIGHT], [SUNSET&MOON] or [LANDSCAPE] in [PROGRAM AE] – [EXPOSURE] – [SPOT METER] The external flash (optional) does not work. • The power of the flash is not turned on, or the flash is not attached correctly. The actual recording time for movie is less than the expected approximate recording time. • When you record an object that moves fast, the time available for recording may shorten (p.15, 75). The recording stops. • The temperature of your camcorder is extremely high. Turn off your camcorder and leave it for a while in a cool place. • Moisture condensation has occurred with the disc. Turn off your camcorder and leave it about 1 hour in a cool place (p.133). There is a time difference between the point where you press START/STOP and the point that the recorded movie starts/stops. • On your camcorder, there may be a slight time difference between the point where you press START/STOP and the actual point that recording movie starts/stops. This is not a malfunction. The movie aspect ratio cannot be changed. • The aspect ratio of a DVD+RW disc cannot be changed. Format the disc again to change the movie aspect ratio. Adjusting the image during recording Refer also to “Setup items” (p.111). The auto focus does not function. • Set [FOCUS] to [AUTO] (p.68). • The recording conditions are not suitable for auto focus. Adjust the focus manually (p.68). [STEADYSHOT] does not function. • Set [STEADYSHOT] to [ON] (p.70). • [STEADYSHOT] may not work for an excessive camera shake even if [STEADYSHOT] is set to [ON]. The back light function does not function. • The back light function is canceled when you set [EXPOSURE] to [MANUAL] (p.67) or select [SPOT METER] (p.66). • The back light function does not work during Easy Handycam operation. Cancel Easy Handycam operation (p.31). A vertical band appears when recording candlelight or electric light in the dark. • This occurs when the contrast between the subject and the background is too high. This is not a malfunction. A vertical band appears when recording a bright subject. • This phenomenon is called the smear effect. This is not a malfunction. Tiny spots in white, red, blue, or green appear on the screen. • The spots appear when you are recording in [SUPER NS] or [COLOR SLOW S]. This is not a malfunction. The color of the picture is not correctly displayed. • Set the NIGHTSHOT switch to OFF (p.43). The picture appears too bright on the screen, and the subject does not appear on the screen. • Set the NIGHTSHOT switch to OFF (p.43). The picture appears too dark on the screen, and the subject does not appear on the screen. • The LCD screen backlight is switched off. Turn on the LCD backlight by pressing and holding DISP/BATT INFO (p.23). Troubleshooting Flickering or changes in color occurs. • This occurs when recording pictures under a fluorescent lamp, sodium lamp, or mercury lamp with [PORTRAIT] or [SPORTS].
