CINEMA Mode and Cinema-Look Filters 107 CINEMA Mode and Cinema-Look Filters In mode, the camcorder will adjust the frame rate and several other picture-related settings to give your recordings a cinematic look. In this mode you can also use a variety of professional cinemalook filters to create unique movies with a distinctive appearance. 1 Set the mode switch to . 2 Select the desired cinema-look filter. [FILTER 1] Desired cinema-look filter* [OK] * You can change the effect level before touching [OK]. [Cinema Standard] offers different adjustment options than the other cinema-look filters. • The selected cinema-look filter will be applied and its number will appear on the control button. To select the effect level of [Cinema Standard] 1 Open the parameter selection screen. [5] [A] 2 Touch [Color Depth], [Softening Filter], [Key (Brightness)] or [Contrast]. 3 Touch [y] or [A] to adjust the parameter. • You can also drag your finger along the dial. • The picture will change immediately according to the adjustment. Adding Decorations Adding Decorations Using the decoration function, you can add various graphical elements to the picture, such as stamps, watermarks, the date/time, and even your own freehand drawings. Freehand drawings can help emphasize a portion of the picture to attract viewers' attention. The supplied stylus pen will be especially useful for adding decorations. You can decorate scenes as they are being recorded, during playback or just before converting them to standard definition. Decorating Scenes while Recording Operating modes: 1 Open the decoration screen. [FUNC.] [ Decoration] • The decoration screen will open automatically also when you stow the LCD panel with the touch screen facing out. 2 Use a tool from the toolbar as explained in the following procedures. 3 Press g to record movies with your decorations. • You can add decorations even while recording a scene. 4Touch [a] to exit the decoration screen. Adding Decorations ACanvas - The area where you will draw and see your decorations in action. BToolbar. C[ Pens and Stamps] Select the type of pen or stamp and its color. You can also save a canvas or load a previously saved canvas. D[ Animated Stamps] Select animated stamps to add to your decoration. E[ Captions] Add the date, date and time, story title or story theme category as a caption that will be included in the recording. F[ ]* (Image Mix) Choose one of 27 different frames to add onto the canvas. Image mix can be used in combination with the pens, stamps and animated stamps. During playback, you can add a watermark to the picture using image mix. G[C]* In recording mode: pause the live video. Touch [C] again to restore the live video. You can add decorations to and record the frozen image. In playback mode: pause the playback. Touch [A] to resume playing back the scene. H[ ] Minimize the toolbar to the top of the screen to view almost all of the canvas. Touch [ ] to restore the toolbar. * Not available in mode. To use [Pens and Stamps] 1Touch [ ]. • The [Pens and Stamps] screen will appear. 2 Select the desired pen or stamp from [Tools]. 3 Select white or black from [Colors]. • Alternatively, you can touch [ ] and select a color from the color palette. 4 Draw freely on the canvas. • Touch [ ] [Clear] [Yes] to clear the canvas and start again. • Continue the procedure only if you wish to save the canvas. 5 Touch [ ] and then touch [fSave]. 6 Touch [Yes]. • The freehand drawings and stamps will be saved in the built-in memory. 7Touch [f].
