To set the TIME LAPSE, when set to ON. 13 Getting Started Setting the Clock Setting the clock is divided into four sections: Time Zone, Daylight Saving Time, Date and Time, and Clock Battery. Follow instructions in the order presented. Before you begin... • Connect the Camcorder to a power source. • Set the POWER switch to CAMERA. Setting the Time Zone The Camcorder is set to Eastern time zone at the factory. If you live, or are traveling, in a different time zone, follow the steps to select the appropriate time zone from the menu screen. r Note:- When you travel outside the eight time zone chart above, please set the clock manually (see page 16). 14 Note:- • When the POWER switch is set to VCR, the CLOCK SET menu will be displayed. • The Camcorder's clock may lose or gain up to two minutes per month. Setting the Clock Setting the Daylight Saving Time The clock will automatically adjust to daylight saving time. Before you begin... • Connect the Camcorder to a power source. • Set the POWER switch to CAMERA. The Camcorder is preset to Daylight Saving TimeEBIH. If you do not want the clock to be automatically adjusted to daylight saving time, please select 033 by following steps 1-4. MENU DISPLAY Spring (First Sunday in April): In DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME: AUTO mode, the clock is automatically moved ahead one hour. 1:00 a.m. 2:00 a.m. | Normal Time Daylight Saving Time__3:00 a.m. 4:00 a.m. Autumn (Last Sunday in October): In DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME: AUTO mode, the clock is automatically turned back one hour. 1:00 a.m. 2:00 a.m. Daylight Saving Time Normal Time 1:00 a.m. 2:00 a.m. - Note: - • When the POWER switch is set to VCR, the CLOCK SET menu will be displayed. • Daylight saving time feature will not function if time zone is set to Hawaii or Samoa.
