Anleitung Zusammenfassung
Firmware Management Tool
•
The FMT only discovers supported disk drives. If the external disk enclosure contains a mix of
supported and unsupported disk drives, the unsupported disk drives will not be discovered in
FMT, although they will be displayed in the System Management Homepage. The FMT does not
indicate that an unsupported drive is installed.
If the external disk enclosure only contains unsupported disk drives, the FMT displays the following
error messages:
◦
During the discovery/flash recommendation phase:
–
Error code: 0x1A1E
–
Error message: None of the drive models of INTERNAL SERVER HDD/HP
StoreEasy Drive Bundle are recognized for firmware management.
◦
During the flash phase:
–
Error code: 0x105D
–
Error message: Flash not attempted for INTERNAL SERVER HDD/HP
StoreEasy Drive Bundle : None of the drive models are recognized
for firmware update.
•
When using the FMT to update firmware, it may indicate that iLO requires a downgrade to a
qualified version (1.50), which is an earlier version than what is currently installed.
No workaround is necessary. You can disregard the message to downgrade to a qualified version.
Initial Configuration Tasks
•
Because volumes are created on virtual disks, one of the steps in creating a volume is to select
the virtual disk. If there are no existing virtual disks without volumes, the New Volume Wizard
displays a link to start the New Virtual Disk Wizard to create a virtual disk. However, when
accessing the New Volume Wizard from the ICT, this link causes the New Volume Wizard to
close and not launch the New Virtual Disk Wizard. This issue does not occur when the New
Volume Wizard is opened from Windows Server Manager.
Use the Create virtual disks task in the ICT to create virtual disks that may be selected in the New
Volume Wizard.
Pool Manager
•
If a pool with RAID level 50 or 60 is selected for creation on a D2700 enclosure attached to a
StoreEasy 5000, pool creation fails with the error message, "The format of the specified RAID
level is invalid. Valid RAID levels are RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 10, RAID 5, RAID 6." This occurs
because the storage controller in the StoreEasy 5000 does not currently support these RAID levels.
Future releases of the Pool Manager will be corrected to avoid displaying unsupported RAID
levels.
Use Pool Manager to create pools using a preset configuration option that does not use RAID 50
or RAID 60.
•
When editing a pool that contains the ClusterWitness virtual disk, the Edit Pools window will
always display the Remove unused drives from this pool option. This option is displayed even
when there are no unused drives in the pool. If the option is selected and executed multiple times,
each attempt is reported as completed successfully, but the drives are only removed from the pool
if they are not used by any virtual disk.
No workaround is necessary. The option may be used when needed as described in "Moving a
witness disk" in the online help. A future release will fix the issue so that the option is only shown
when there are actually unused drives in the pool.
