Specifications ------------------------------------------------- 26 A. Introduction Thank you for selecting this multi-media system, featuring an 8” LCD TV with Card Reader. It utilizes the latest state of the art electronics and is designed for use in homes, offices, hotels, and vehicles. The unit is compact so that you can take it with you almost anywhere, and is designed for easy installation. Please read all the instructions in this manual to ensure proper installation and superior equipment performance. B. Cautions and Warnings 1. Read Instructions — Read all the safety and operating instructions before operating the product. 2. Retain Instructions — Retain the safety and operating instructions for future reference. 3. Heed Warnings — Adhere to all warnings on the product and in the operating instructions. 4. Follow Instructions — Follow all operating and user instructions. 5. Cleaning — Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning it. DO NOT use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning. 6. Attachments — DO NOT use attachments not recommended by the product manufacturer as they may cause hazards. 7. Mounting — DO NOT place this product on an unstable cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table. The product may fall, causing serious injury to a child or adult, and serious damage to the product. Use only with a cart, stand, ripod, bracket, or table recommended by the manufacturer or sold with the product. Any mounting of this product should follow the manufacture’s instructions, and should use a mounting accessory recommended by the manufacturer. 8. Heat — Situate the product away from any source, such as radiators, heat registers, stoves or other products (including amplifiers) that produce heat. 9. Water — DO NOT use this product near water. For example, avoid placing it near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet basement, near a swimming pool, etc. 10. Cabinet Slots — NEVER push objects of any kind into the unit through the cabinet slots, as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short out parts that could result in a fire or electric shock. NEVER spill liquid of any kind on the product. 11. Ventilation — DO NOT block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. Slots and openings in the cabinet and on the back and bottom are provided for ventilation, and to ensure reliable operation of the product and protect it from overheating. These openings must NOT be blocked or covered. There should be at least 4” (10cm) of space from these openings. The openings should never be blocked by placing the unit on a bed, rug, or other similar surface. This product should NOT be placed in a built-in installation, such as a bookcase, unless proper ventilation is provided. 12. Grounding or Polarization — This product may be equipped with a polarized alternating current line plug (a plug having one blade wider then the other). This plug will fit the power outlet only one way. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug should still fail to fit, contact your electrician to replace your obsolete outlet. DO NOT defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug. 13. Power Cord Protection — Route power supply cords so they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them. Pay particular attention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the product. 14. Power Sources — Operate this product only from the type of power source indicated on the rear panel. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your product dealer or local power company. 15. Lightning — For added protection for this product during a lightning storm, or when it is left unattended and unused for a long period of time, unplug it from the outlet and disconnect the antenna or cable system.
