Manual Programme Preset To preset a channel, press PROG +/– to select the programme number, before selecting “Label”, “AFT”, “Audio Filter”, “Skip”, “Decoder”, or “LNA”. You cannot select a programme number that is set to “Skip” (100). • Programme/System/Channel: Allows you to preset programme channels manually. 1 Press to select “Programme”, then press . 2 Press to select the programme number you want to manually tune (if tuning a VCR, select channel 00), then press . 3 Press to select “System”, then press . 4 Press to select one of the following TV broadcast systems, then press . The search stops when a channel is found. To continue searching, press . If you know the channel number (Frequency): Press the number buttons to enter the channel number of the broadcast you want to tune, or the channel number of your VCR. 8 Press to jump to “Confirm”, then press . Repeat the above procedure to preset other channels manually. • Label: Assigns a name of your choice to the selected channel. This name appears briefly on the screen when you select the channel. To input characters, follow steps 2 to 4 in “Programme Labels” (97). • AFT: Allows you to fine-tune the selected channel manually if you feel that a slight tuning adjustment may improve picture quality. When “On” is selected, fine tuning adjustments are made automatically. 99/119 Analogue Set-up • Confirm: Saves changes you have made to the “Manual Programme Preset” settings. • Audio Filter: Improves the sound of individual channels when distortion occurs in mono broadcasts (normally set to “Off”). • You cannot receive stereo or dual sound when “Low” or “High” is selected. • Skip: Skips unused analogue channels when you press PROG +/– to select channels. To select channels you have programmed to skip, use the corresponding number buttons. • LNA: Improves the picture quality of the channel (noisy picture) when the broadcast signal is very weak. 100/119 Digital Set-up Subtitle Set-up • Subtitle Setting: When set to “For Hard Of Hearing”, visual aids for the hearing impaired are displayed with the subtitles (when such visual aids are available). • Preferred Language: Allows you to select the language of the subtitles. Audio Set-up • Audio Type: Switches to broadcast for the hearing impaired when you select “For Hard Of Hearing”. • Preferred Language: Sets the language to be used for a programme.
