Other Adjust Side Bar Auto Power On Bright Off OffPower Save Auto Power On (Set or Off) Select Set to power up the TV at the same time as the cable box or other connected components. Side Bar (Off, Dark, Mid, Bright) Displaying a picture in 4:3 mode for an extended period may cause an after-image. Change the brightness of the side bars to prevent the after-image. Notes: • Setting the side bar to Bright for an extended period may cause an after-image. • The side bar may flash (alternate black/white) depending on the picture. In such a case, set Pic Mode to Cinema (see page 26). Power Save (Off or On) Supress the luminous level of the TV to reduce power consumption. CableCARD This menu provides information when a CableCARD is inserted into the CABLE CARD slot (see page 13). Notes: • If CableCARD is not inserted and you access the CableCARD Info, the message “Cable Module Not present” appears. • To receive the features offered by your cable company, you may have to subscribe to those services. Contact your cable company regarding availability of the CableCARD. The CableCARD is required receive premium digital services (where available) through the cable input. Lock Set Mode Off • Off : Turns off Lock set functions. • Lock All : All channels are locked regardless of the rating level. • Game Lock : Locks out CH 3, 4 and Video inputs. • Channel Lock : Locks out specific analog and digital channels. Block Program This television incorporates V-CHIP technology to block the viewing of movies and television programs according to the rating category. There are two (2) Content Advisory Categories: MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) and TV Parental Guidelines Ratings. These categories are used as guidelines for blocking the programs. • The default mode for the Lock category is the Unlocked state. Press to select MPAA or U.S.TV.
