Check the Owner's Manual provided with each component for the location of video and audio inputs and outputs. Connect an AV amplifier with built-in Dolby Digital decoder, DTS decoder, MPEG decoder or etc as shown below. Press INPUT SELECT repeatedly to select the desired mode. NOTE: “LINE” or TV channel will display on the screen. In the DVD mode this key will not operate. 1. To connect the TV/DVD to a VCR Press the INPUT SELECT to select the desired mode to use the TV as a monitor. Operate your VCR as usual. To connect the TV to a TV Game The TV/DVD can also be used as a display device for many video games. However, due to the wide variety of different types of signal generated by these devices and subsequent hook-up variations required, they have not all been included in the suggested connection diagrams. Consult your local dealer or service outlet if problems persist. Be sure all connections are properly made when using with other units. SYMPTOMS POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS • Make sure the power cord is plugged in. • Try another AC outlet. • Power is off, check fuse or circuit breaker. • Unplug unit, then plug it back in. • Connect the DC car cord to the cigarette lighter socket. • The DC car cord fuse is drown, replace fuse. Poor reception on some channels Horizontal or diagonal bars on screen Poor sound or No sound TV/DVD does not operate. • Check antenna connections, reorient antenna. • Check for sources of possible interference. • Station or CATV experiencing problems, tune to another station. • Station signal is weak, reorient antenna to receive weaker station. • Check for sources of possible interference. Poor picture or No picture • Station or CATV experiencing problems, tune to another station. • Check antenna or CATV connections, reorient antenna. • Check for sources of possible interference. • Check picture control adjustments. • Station or CATV experiencing problems, tune to another station. • Check Volume adjustments. • Check for sources of possible interference.
