Right speaker to "R" and left speaker to "L", red wire to "+" and silver wire to "-". 2 Connect the supplied AM antenna and FM antenna to the respective terminals. Adjust the position of the antenna for optimal reception. 3 Connect the serial port marked CONTROL CABLE at the rear of the DVD player to the same port at the rear of the power amplifier with the supplied control cable. 4 Connect the VIDEO OUTPUT jack at the rear of the DVD player to the video input jack on the TV using the supplied video cable (yellow). Tip See the User Manual for other TV connection options. 5 Connect the power cord of the DVD system to the AC power outlet. Speaker (Right) FM antenna Speaker AM antenna (Left) AC power cord Step B Setup Setting up the TV 1 Press STANDBY ONB on the front panel of the DVD player or B on the remote to switch the DVD system on and then select the disc source. 2 Switch on the TV set and set to the correct video-in channel until the blue Philips DVD background screen appears on the TV. Tip See your TV manual for more details. Setting language preferences 1 2 3 Press SYSTEM on the remote to enter the system menu. Press 1 2 on the remote to enter the 'Preference Page'. Then, select the preferred audio, subtitle and disc menu languages using 1 2 ▲ 4 and OK on the remote. Step C Enjoy Loading a disc 1 Select the disc source, then press OPEN*CLOSE at the top of the DVD player or 0 on the remote. 2 S Load in a DVD disc with the label side facing up. A disc menu pops up. Playback 1 Use 1 2 ▲ 4 and OK or Numeric Keypad (0-9) on the remote to select a playback feature or item.
