The service provider may provide a PIN that is needed to save the settings. For more information on the availability of the settings, contact your network operator, service provider, nearest authorized Nokia dealer or visit the support area on the Nokia Web site, When you receive a configuration message, Configuration settings received is displayed. To view the received settings, select Show. To save the received settings, select Save. If the device asks Enter settings' PIN:, enter the PIN-code for settings, and select OK. Select whether you want these settings as the default. For availability of the PIN code, contact the service provider that supplies the settings. To discard the received settings, select Discard. General information ¦ Download content and applications You may be able to download content, such as themes, tones, and video clips to the phone (network service). Select the download function (for example, in the Gallery menu). To access the download function, see the respective menu descriptions. See "Standby mode," p. 11. •NaviTM spinner (4) Use the spinner to scroll through the character bar when entering text and numbers, scrolling through different lists, and browsing messages. See "Spinner," p. 11. • End key (5) ends an active call and exits from any function. Press and hold the end key to switch on and off. • Call key (6) dials the phone number and answers a call. To use the spinner, rotate it clockwise or counterclockwise. The middle selection key is located in the center of the spinner. In the standby mode you can use the spinner as follows: Press and hold the middle selection key to enter a phone number. Rotate the spinner to scroll to a digit of the phone number in the character bar that is shown at the bottom of the display, and press Select. Repeat this for each digit of the phone number. To call the phone number, press the call key, or select Options > Call. Your phone Wallpaper and screen saver You can set your phone to display a background picture, wallpaper and a screen saver when the phone is in the standby mode. See "Display settings," p. 32. Power saving For power saving, the light of the display and the keys is switched off after a certain period of time. The pulsating light indicator shows that the phone is switched on. The first keypress switches the display light on. Deactivating the pulsating light indicator (Light effects) also saves power. See "Profiles," p. 31.
