CD < СО — О о Û- Ш СС < I- Basic Operation Low Battery Alert When the battery needs to be replaced, an alert tone sounds for eight seconds, or until you press either button "v i i i i A ' / » n Г г 111 l_U“LLLL^ LO-CELL and all active icons will flash on the display O The display will continue to show ¿53 un^ N the battery is replaced Note: One AAA battery is required Turn off pager before replacing battery Pager memory is maintained dunng replacement for a short penod, but removing the battery for extended penods may cause memory to return to initial settings If you will not be using your pager for at least a month, remove the battery Replacing Battery 1 Slide battery cover in direction of arrow 2 Push the negative (-) side of the battery down 3 The positve (+) side of the battery will come up for easy removal 3 CÛ < CO — O O Q- IU cc < I--Oz Turning On Pager 1 Press and hold 0 • The pager vibrates or beeps, and all icons appear on the display ¡8-88R#m©'>«8T D m "o O B Receiving Messages A 1 Leave the pager on to receive S messages 1 2 When receiving, the pager vibrates or C beeps Press Q or (g to stop the alert 10 OCR >• ► nnn I I I JDD UUU * I I I " L L L" Display lights to reveal message The time the message was received is displayed • A means a m , P means p m • ► indicates message continues on next screen A received message remains on the display until you press either button Press 0 to view next screen (or press (£J to return to standby) ■ If the message is not continued on a second screen, pressing either button returns the pager to standby When you have viewed the second screen, press or Q to return to standby • If neither button is pressed, display will return to standby after 16 seconds Reviewing Messages I (Press (*] and hold from standby to light display) 1 From standby, press 0 JO 00 R non I I UUU" I I I -BBS- • The most recent message is displayed The time and date the message was received alternate on the display 2 Press Q to view next message 3 After reviewing all messages, the display indicates the percentage of memory used for messages »• 4 If pager has no messages US Ed n U 5 Press 0 or (*] to return to standby or Display will return to standby after 16 seconds m < co — o o o. lu cr < i--oz B LOCKING messages ^ Your pager can hold up to 23 messages in S temporary memory. If memory is full, the 1 oldest message is deleted when a new C message is received. To avoid losing a message, you can lock up to eight O messages. 1. With the message displayed, press (^. ri n'nj 'r' i1 ( _‘p S uuu r t I LCC ; • n-o and message will flash. 2. Press Q to lock the message. • n-o will be displayed when locked, and message will stop flashing. 3. If FULL is displayed, eight messages are already locked. • In this case, unlock an old message before locking a new one.
