Some of the most common hazards are discussed below, along with the best way to protect yourself and others. Honda Snowblower Usage Honda snowblowers are designed to give safe and dependable service if operated according to instructions and intended use: Ground level outdoor snow removal. Any other use could be dangerous. Honda snowblowers are intended to be used by an experienced, trained operator familiar with the use of power equipment. Do not allow a child or an inexperienced, untrained operator to use this snowblower. Operating this equipment requires special effort on your part to ensure your safety and the safety of others. Read and understand the Lawn Tractor owner’s manual and this operator’s manual. Avoid Rotating Auger The rotating auger can cause injury. Keep away from the blower head whenever the engine is running. If you need to adjust the skid shoe height, or work around the blower head for any reason, always shut off the engine. If you need to clean or handle the auger, disconnect the spark plug caps first. Clear Area The snowblower can throw rocks and other objects with enough force to cause injury. Before beginning snow removal, carefully inspect the area and remove all large debris.
