When the function is first activated, the keyboard is split at the point marked on the front panel, but this point is changeable. Shifting it to the right in the SPLIT mode makes the UPPER keyboard louder. For the DUAL mode, it is the rightmost preset of the pair that becomes louder. (This slider controls only DUAL balance on the CA440.) Use this slider to set the tempo of the metronome or recorder when recording and playing back.
