It is recommended that all operators of this Tiller become thoroughly familiar with the controls and proper operation of the unit before operating. Specific details involving the engine are found in the separate engine owner’s manual. Study these manuals before operating and keep both handy for future reference. Refer to Figure 1 above for location of controls and other essential components. 4 CONTROL IDENTIFICATION & SAFETY SIGNS WARNING: Advises operator of safety procedures that should be followed to prevent injury. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS: Describes operating instructions. 1) Handle position. 2) Depth of tilling. 3) Engine starting procedure. 4) Tiller clutch engagement. STARTING PROCEDURE: Describesprocedure for starting tiller. WARNING: Advises operator of the dangerof the rotating tines. ATTENTION: Describes procedure for engine lubrication check. SERIAL PLATE: Lists model and serial numbers for proper identification and ordering parts. PATENT NUMBERS: Describes current patent numbers being used for Snapper products.
