1. Damage Requiring Service - Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualified service personnel under the following conditions: a) When the power-supply cord or plug is damaged, b) If liquid has been spilled, or objects have fallen into the product, c) If the product has been exposed to rain or water, d) If the product does not operate normally by following the operating instructions. Adjust only those controls that are covered by the operating instructions as an improper adjustment of other controls may result in damage and will often require extensive work by a qualified technician to restore the product to its normal operation. e) If the product has been dropped or damaged in any way, and f) When the product exhibits a distinct change in performance - this indicates a need for service. . Replacement Parts - When replacement parts are required, be sure the service technician has used replacement parts specified by the manufacturer or have the same characteristics as the original part. Unauthorized substitutions may result in fire, electric shock, or other hazards. 3. Safety Check - Upon completion of any service or repairs to this product, ask the service technician to perform safety checks to determine that the product is in proper operating condition. 4. Wall or Ceiling Mounting - The product should be mounted to a wall or ceiling only as recommended by the manufacturer. 5. Heat - The product should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other products (including amplifiers) that produce heat. A 9-Volt battery can be inserted into the unit to serve as a back-up in case the power goes out. Please note, the back-up battery is not meant to power the unit at all times, but only in case of an emergency or unexpected circumstances. Setting the Clock 1. Adjust the Time/Lo/High Switch to Time. 1. Press the Up Button and Down Button to set the clock. The Up Button cycles through the time quickly, while the Down Button cycles through slowly. Setting the Sleep Timer 1. Press and hold the Sleep Button. . While holding the Sleep Button, press the Up Button and Down Button to set the sleep timer. The Up Button cycles through the time quickly, while the Down Button cycles through slowly. 3. Once the set sleep time expires, the unit will turn off. Setting the Alarms 1. Press and hold the AL1 or AL2 Button. . While holding the AL1 or AL2 Button, press the Up Button and Down Button to set the alarm 1 or alarm . The Up Button cycles through the time quickly, while the Down Button cycles through slowly. 3. Adjust the Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 Switch on the side of the unit to the function that will sound when the alarm goes off. 4. Once the set alarm time arrives, the unit will turn on to the set function. 5. After the alarm sounds, press the Snooze Button to delay the alarm for an additional 10 minutes. 6. Press the Power Button to turn the alarm off until the set time arrives again. Listening to the Radio 1. Press the Power Button to turn the unit on. . Adjust the NS/Radio Switch to Radio. 3. Adjust the AM/FM Switch to AM or FM. 4. Turn the Tuning Dial to adjust the AM or FM station. AM and FM radio stations are displayed in the Frequency Display on the face of the unit. 5. Turn the Volume Dial to adjust the volume of the unit. Listening to Nature Sounds 1. Press the Power Button to turn the unit on. . Adjust the NS/Radio Switch to NS (Nature Sounds). 3. Adjust the Numbered NS Switch to 1 for ocean sounds, for forest sounds, and 3 for white noise. 4. Turn the Volume Dial to adjust the volume of the unit.
