When discarding batteries, be sure to dispose of them in the proper manner, according to your state/provincial and local regulations. Radio Turning off the wake function To silence the wake function temporarily for extra sleep time: • With SmartSnooze™, press SNOOZE/LIGHT, SLEEP or NAP to turn off the wake function temporarily for extra sleep time. , or • The wake function will activate again when the snooze period (9 minutes) is over. • The snooze period is fi xed and cannot be changed. To stop the wake function: Press OFF. The wake function will activate again on the following day at the same time. SEE MARKING ON BOTTOM OF PRODUCT OFF – turns off the unit; turns off the wake function and sleep mode ON (RADIO/AUX) – turns on the radio or auxiliary input mode REV / FWD – sets clock or wake time SET – selects setting wake time ( ), clock time ( ) or lock the current wake and clock time settings ( ) WAKE MODE – selects wake to radio ( ), wake to alarm ( ) or deactivate the wake function (OFF) SLEEP – activates the Sleep function SNOOZE/LIGHT – turns off the wake function temporarily; cancels the sleep function; turns on the night light briefl y with AUTO mode selected (refer to Night light for more information) NAP – activates the NAP function AUX IN – connects external audio source (e.g. mp3 player) with an audio cable (not supplied) TIME ZONE – selects time zone DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME – switches the daylight saving time on or off TIME ZONE Bottom Before plugging for power 1. Set the Time Zone Slide the time zone selector at the bottom of the unit to Eastern, Central, Mountain or Pacifi c. (Refer to the maps on the right) 2. Set the Daylight Saving Time Slide the day light saving selector at the bottom of the unit to turn on/off in areas observing/not observing such time change. The icon shows on the display when daylight saving time is active. WARNING: Please avoid playing with these buttons after entering the Clock/ Alarm set mode. Auto clock set You do not have to set the clock time as a built-in automatic time set system is equipped in this clock powered by 3V (2 X AA batteries, included). All you have to do is to plug this clock for power and current time will be shown automatically. However, the batteries can also be exhausted and we recommend that you replace the batteries every year. Night light To select the night light setting: Night light is located at the bottom of the unit. Slide LIGHT on the left of the unit to select one of the following settings: • ON – always turns on the night light; • AUTO – turns on the automatic night light mode; • OFF – always turns off the night light. To use the automatic night light mode: • Press SNOOZE/LIGHT to turn on the night light for about 5 seconds. • The night light also turns on when the wake function activates. NAP function For catnaps up to 2 hours without disturbing the regular wake function settings. The NAP function wakes you up after a set length of time. 1. Press NAP repeatedly to cycle among the NAP time available (10 min, 20min, 30min, 60min, 90min and OFF; 20min is the default setting). • The NAP icon fl ashes on the display while adjusting. 2. When the desired NAP time is selected, release NAP and wait for about 5 seconds, the NAP time is now set. • The icon NAP lights on the display. Auxiliary input 1. Connect your auxiliary input source (e.g. mp3 player) to the AUX IN jack on the back of the unit with an audio cable (not supplied). 2.
