Insert non-rechargeable batteries to guarantee an automatic backup in case of power supply failure. 1 Before you connect the baby unit to a power supply, remove the lid of the battery compartment. 2 Insert four non-rechargeable 1.5V R6 AA batteries with the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated. 3 Reattach the lid. 4 Connect a supplied adapter to the baby unit and to a power supply. Charge the parent unit Note Make sure that the parent unit is disconnected from the power supply and turned off. 1 Remove the lid of the battery compartment. 2 Insert the supplied rechargeable battery pack with the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated. 3 Reattach the lid. 4 Connect a supplied adapter to the parent unit and to a power supply to start charging. Tip The battery pack only reaches the full capacity after you charge it for four times. <= >? the operating time is less than 24 hours.
