Screw #8 x 1/2" S.M.S. 1 5121531 17. Wing Nut #8-32 4 5489021 1. INSTALLATION OF BIN THERMOSTAT BRACKET: A. Locate the bin, as shown in Illustration 1. 2. INSTALLATION OF G-1200 ICE MACHINE: A. See service manual for uncrating and inspection of ice machine. B. Remove top cover from ice machine. C. Set ice machine carefully and squarely on bin. D. Position top cover from kit on right-hand side of ice machine. Attach water shield from kit to top cover using one #8 x 1/2" long sheet metal screw from kit (see Illustration 2). E. Apply foam tape from kit, as shown in Illustration 2 3. INSTALLATION OF E-0400, G-0400, OR G-0600 ICE MACHINE: NOTE: G-0600 IS USED TO REPRESENT ANY E-0400, G-0400, OR G-0600. A. See service manual for uncrating and inspection of ice machine. B. Remove top cover from ice machine. C. Position G-0600 ice machine on G-1200 ice machine with back and left sides being flush. Attach machines together using the tie plate from kit on left side of machines. Remove the right side panel from the G-0600 ice machine. Drill a 5/32" diameter hole in top cover using an existing hole in the bottom angle of the G-0600 ice machine as a guide. NOTE: Be sure not to damage internal parts of the G-1200 ice machine (see Illustration 3). D. Before applying RTV sealant in designated areas to insure against leaks or water hang-ups (as shown in Illustration 4), remove the water pump, high and low valve plastic cover, water curtain, and water trough. INSTALLATION OF BIN THERMOSTAT BULB: A. Carefully unwind bulb and tubing and feed down from top ice machine and through right side of opening of lower ice machine. B. Mount bulb of thermostat making sure tubing is clear of ice drop zone. C. Remove electrical box front cover from G-0600 ice machine and connect the leads (as shown in Illustration 5 for air and water-cooled machines and Illustration 6 for remote machines). Place wiring diagram provided in kit over existing diagram on the G-0600 ice machine front panel. D. Use electrical box front cover from kit and run leads through cutout in bottom. Leave top screw loose and tighten bottom two screws. 5. INSTALLATION OF ICE CHUTE: A. Remove front curtain stop from G-1200 ice machine. B. Attach bottom mounting bracket from kit to the front base channel of the G-1200 ice machine using two #10-24 x 5/8" sheet metal screws from kit (see Illustration 8). C. Remove angle "A" from G-0600 ice machine (see Illustration 8). D. Attach top mounting bracket from kit to top rail of G-1200 ice machine using two #10-24 x 5/8" sheet metal screws from kit E. Reattach angle "A". F. From the top ice machine, carefully bring the ice chute down in place until the weld studs located on ice chute go through the slotted holes in the mounting brackets. Secure with four wing nuts provided in kit. G. Check for free movement of water curtains on both top and bottom ice machines (styrene covers over evaporators). H. Reattach all panels of both ice machines. I. Proceed to ice machine service manuals for electrical and water hookups and start-up procedure. 6. BIN CONTROL SETTING: A. If the ice machine shuts off with the ice level in the bin above the control bulb, turn the temperature setting warmer. If the ice level is below the bulb when the ice machine shuts off, turn the temperature setting colder.
