power 7365 Supply voltage 230/400 V, 50 Hz 5019 310 66039 USING THE HOTPLATES • Turn the relevant knob to one of the positions included between 0 and 6 (maximum position). An indicator light on the control panel illuminates when the hotplates are switched on. • To switch the hotplate off, turn the knob to position 0. Important: Never use the hotplates without pans. For cooking, use thick-based, flat pans which are specially designed for electric hobs and have a diameter at least equal to that of the hotplate. Never use utensils with a concave or rounded base. OVEN FUNCTIONS 0 Oven off | .Q | Oven light Q STATIC FUNCTION Use when all the food is on the same runner level. • Preheat the oven to the required cooking temperature and place the food inside as soon as the red thermostat indicator light switches off. • Ideally, the shelf should be on the second runner level when using the static function. Q BOTTOM HEATING FUNCTION Use this function. • To finish baking fruitcakes or cheesecakes. • To thicken sauces. Use the bottom heating function for the last 10 or 15 minutes of cooking time. ^ UPPER HEATING FUNCTION Use this function. • To brown top surface of foods. Use the top heating function for the last 10 or 15 minutes of cooking time. □ GRILL FUNCTION Use the grill function to cook small pieces of meat, (steaks, sausages) and for making toasts. • The oven door must be closed during the grilling cycle. • Thermostat should be set at maximum. • Preheat the grill for about 5 minutes. • Arrange the meat on the wire shelf with the drip tray underneath. Pour water in the drip tray to cover the bottom thus reducing smoke and fat spatters. • Turn over the food about half-way through cooking time.
