AUTO POWER OFF FUNCTION • The power turns off automatically when all tracks on a disc have been played or when the STOP button (6) is pressed after 30 seconds. 6 3780.qxd 02.07.03 15:37 Page 16 ENGLISH BASS BOOST Use the Bass Boost function (17) to increase the bass output when listening with headphones/earphones. HOLD SWITCH - HOLD ALL BUTTONS Once all adjustments/selections are finished, slide the HOLD SWITCH (19) to the ON position. This deactivates all buttons functions and eliminates the possibility of accidentally pressing buttons. Slide the HOLD SWITCH (19) to the OFF position to unlock all buttons. LOCATING A PARTICULAR SONG OR POINT TRACK SEARCH Press the FWD or BACKWARD SKIP/SEARCH BUTTON (5 or 7) during playing to skip to the desired track. 1. Press the ►►button (5) to skip to the next track on the disc. 2. Press the « button (7) to skip to the begining of the track currently playing. 3. Press the « button (7) twice or more to skip to previous tracks. FORWARD/BACKWARD SEARCH Press and hold the FWD or BACKWARD SKIP/SEARCH BUTTON (5 or 7) during playing to scan the disc at high speed. When the desired section of the disc is found, release the button. Normal play will resume. 1. If you press and hold the FWD button (5) while playing, it will scan the current playing track forward at high speed. 2. If you press and hold the BACK button (7) while playing, it will scan the current playing track backward at high speed.
