››Connect with Samsung Kies Ensure that Samsung Kies is installed on your PC. You can download the program from the Samsung website (In Menu mode, select 1 Settings > Wireless and network > USB settings > Samsung Kies. Press [2 ] to return to Idle mode. Using the PC data cable, connect the multifunction jack on your device 3 to a PC. Run Samsung Kies and use wireless connections or copy data and files.4 Refer to the Samsung Kies help for more information. ››Synchronise with Windows Media Player Ensure that Windows Media Player is installed on your PC. In Menu mode, select 1 Settings > Wireless and network > USB settings > Media player. Press [2 ] to return to Idle mode. Using the PC data cable, connect the multifunction jack on your device 3 to a PC with Windows Media Player installed. When connected, a pop-up window will appear on the PC. Open Windows Media Player to synchronise music files.4 Edit or enter your device’s name in the pop-up window (if necessary).5 Select and drag the music files you want to the sync list.6 Start synchronisation.7 ››Connect as a mass storage device You can connect your device to a PC as a removable disk and access the file directory. If you insert a memory card in the device, you can also access the file directory of the memory card by using the device as a memory card reader. The file directory of the memory card will appear as a removable disk, separate from the internal memory. Connectivity 51 If you want to transfer files from or to a memory card, insert a memory 1 card into the device. In Menu mode, select 2 Settings > Wireless and network > USB settings > Mass storage. Press [3 ] to return to Idle mode. Using the PC data cable, connect the multifunction jack on your device 4 to a PC. When connected, select 5 Mount. Open the folder to view files.6 Copy files from the PC to the memory card.7 When you are finished, select 8 Turn Off. To disconnect the device from the PC, click the USB device icon on the Windows task bar and click the option to safely remove the mass storage device. Then remove the PC data cable from the PC. Otherwise, you may lose data stored on the memory card or damage the memory card. Select a network under 2 Wi-Fi networks. Enter a password for the network (if necessary).3 Select 4 Connect. Add a WLAN manually›› In Menu mode, select 1 Settings > Wireless and network > Wi-Fi settings > Add Wi-Fi network. Connect to a WLAN using a Wi-Fi Protected Setup ›› (WPS) You can connect to a secured network by using a WPS button or WPS PIN. To connect to a WLAN with a WPS button, In Menu mode, select 1 Settings > Wireless and network > Wi-Fi settings > WPS button connection. Press a WPS button on the access point within 2 minutes.2 To connect to a WLAN with a WPS PIN, In Menu mode, select 1 Settings > Wireless and network > Wi-Fi settings. Select a network indicated by the WPS icon and select 2 WPS PIN. On the access point, enter the PIN and press the start button.3 Mobile AP You can set your device as a wireless access point for PCs or other devices and share your device's mobile network connection through the WLAN feature. Activate the mobile AP feature›› In Menu mode, select 1 Settings > Wireless and network > Mobile AP. Select 2 Mobile AP to activate the mobile AP feature. Select 3 Mobile AP settings to customise the mobile AP feature: Option Function Network SSID View and edit the device name that will be shown to external devices. Security View or edit the network key to prevent unauthorised access to the network. Hide my device Block other devices from locating your device. When you are finished, select 4 Save. From another device, locate your device's name in the available 5 connection list and connect to the network.
