The HP is not a bad machine, porweful enough but 4.17 pounds. Way too heavy. If you don't mind the weight then I'd look at it because I've heard some good reports about HP's (I've never owned one). I'd never buy a Dell again after their awful customer (no) service. Personally the only ting I don't like about the HP touchsmart's is their touchpad. It has a texture on it which feels really strange to me. You might get used to it but it feels weird to me.
