In addition to playing files consecutively from the first file, you can play just the selected file, or play files in an automatically determined order (shuffle play). 1. Press [MENU] to access the “Menu” screen, use [ ] /[ ] to choose “Player Setup, ” and then press [ ] . 2. Use [ ] /[ ] to select the Play Mode setting. ( Default in bold) Setting SINGLE (play one file) SEQUENTIAL (play in order) SHUFFLE (shuffle play) 3. Use [ ] /[ ] to move the cursor to the Repeat setting, and use [ ] /[ ] to turn Repeat on/off. ( Default in bold) Setting OFF (don’t play repeatedly) ON (play repeatedly) Playback The following table shows the possible combinations of these settings. (Default in bold) Play Mode Repeat Explanation SINGLE OFF Play only one file and then stop ON Play one file repeatedly SEQUENTIAL OFF Play sequentially and then stop ON Play sequentially repeatedly SHUFFLE OFF Shuffle play and then stop ON Shuffle play repeatedly If you use SHUFFLE with Repeat turned on, the files will play in shuffled order, and then played again in the same shuffled order. Playback Repeatedly Playing a Portion of a File A B Song The AB Repeat function lets you repeatedly play a specified portion of a file. You can use this to repeatedly hear a section of interest. 1. Press [ ] to play the file. 2. Specify the beginning of the repeat (point A). During playback, press [ AB ] . That point will be the beginning (point A) of the repeated portion. Set point A A Song 3. Specify the end of the repeat (point B) . Press [ A B ] once again. That point will be the end (point B) of the repeated portion.
