1 Select a function other than the Bluetooth function. Press FUNCTION +/. (or FUNCTION on the unit) . repeatedly. 2 Establish a connection with the Bluetooth headphones. Press and hold BLUETOOTH . on the unit for about 2 seconds until the BLUETOOTH indicator . lights up, then release the button. Sound output from the speakers is stopped. If more than one Bluetooth device that has been connected in the past is present around the system, the system attempts to connect with up to 3 most recently connected devices. (Connection is attempted with up to 3 devices in order from the most recently connected device, and the attempts end when a connection is established.) Once the connection is established, the system display changes as follows: “Connect” . Name of the Bluetooth device 3 Start playback of the music for the function selected in step 1. Depending on the type of Bluetooth headphones, you can operate this system (playback, volume control, etc.) using the headphone’s controls. For details about the operations of the Bluetooth headphones, refer to the operation manual supplied with your Bluetooth headphones. 4 Adjust the volume. Press VOLUME +/. (or turn the VOLUME control on the unit) .. To cancel the connection with Bluetooth headphones Press and hold BLUETOOTH . on the unit for about 2 seconds until the BLUETOOTH indicator . turns off. Sound is output from the speakers. Notes .If you cannot connect with paired Bluetooth headphones, perform the pairing operation between the system and the Bluetooth headphones again. .When the system is changed to a function other than the Bluetooth function and BLUETOOTH . on the unit is pressed while connected to a Bluetooth device, it may take some time until a connection is made with the Bluetooth headphones. .This system stores separate volume settings for when listening through the speakers or PHONES jack . on the unit, or when listening through Bluetooth headphones. .Use the A2DP-capable or A2DP- and AVRCP-capable Bluetooth device with the system in a peer-to-peer environment. 0GB Recording from a disc onto an USB device You can connect an optional USB device to the (USB) port . on the unit and record music from a disc to the USB device. You can record from a CD-DA disc or MP3 disc only. The audio format of files recorded by this system is MP3. The approximate size of the recording is about 1 MB per minute of recording time from a CD. The size may be larger when recording from an MP3 disc. See “USB devices” (page 43) for a list of USB devices that can be connected to this system. Synchro Recording You can easily record an entire disc onto an USB device. 1 Connect a recordable USB device to the (USB) port . as shown below. USB device When USB cable connection is necessary, connect the USB cable supplied with the USB device to be connected. See the operation manual supplied with the USB device to be connected for details on the operation method. 2 Select the CD function, then load the disc you want to record. 3 Press PLAY MODE . repeatedly to select the play mode when the CD player is stopped. The play mode automatically changes to normal play mode, if you start recording in shuffle play mode, repeat play mode or in program play mode (when no tracks or MP3 files are programmed). For details about the play mode, see “To change the play mode” (page 13). 4 Press CD-USB SYNC/REC1 .on the unit. “REC” flashes, and the display cycles through “SYNC REC,” “xxxMB Free” (remaining space on the USB device) and “Push ENTER.” The USB device stands by for recording and the CD player pauses for play. 5 Press (or ENTER on the unit) .. Recording starts. When the recording is completed, the CD player and the USB device stop automatically. Basic Operations Continued . 1GB Recording a single track or MP3 file during playback (REC1) You can easily record the track or MP3 file that is currently being played back onto an USB device. 1 Connect a recordable USB device to the (USB) port .. 2 Select the CD function, then load the disc you want to record. 3 Select the track or MP3 file you want to record, then start play. 4 Press CD-USB SYNC/REC1 .on the unit while the selected track or MP3 file is being played back. “REC” flashes, and the display cycles through “REC 1,” “xxxMB Free” (remaining space on the USB device) and “Push ENTER.” The USB device stands by for recording and the CD player pauses for play. 5 Press (or ENTER on the unit) .. Recording starts. When the recording is completed, the CD player continues to play. To select the recording destination on the USB device If the USB device has more than one memory (for example, internal memory and a memory card), you can select which memory to read to and then start recording. 1 Connect the USB device to the (USB) port .. 2 Select the USB function. Press FUNCTION +/. (or FUNCTION on the unit) . repeatedly. 3 Press USB MENU .on the unit in stop mode. “Select?” appears. If an audio file or a folder is selected, “Erase?” appears instead. Press ...
