1 Set the default Web browser to Internet Explorer. 5 Select the program that you want to install. 2 Click the "LG Monitor Software" on the CD's main screen. When the file download window appears, click the Run button. (The file download window may vary depending on the operating system and the Internet Explorer version, but the installation procedures are same.) NOTE yyScreen Split: This program automatically splits the program window as desired. yyTrue Color Finder: This program calibrates the precise color output of the monitor to suit your needs. yyAuto Resolution: This is a program that automatically changes the resolution to the optimal settings when connecting the monitor to the PC in PBP mode. This program is not supported in Clone Mode. Extended Mode is not supported when using a single display. CAUTION yyService Pack 1 or higher is required for Window 7. 3 Follow the instructions to proceed with the installation. INSTALLING LG Monitor Software 24 ENGLISH ENG 8 The program you selected on the Select Features page will install automatically. 6 The LG Monitor Software installation starts as shown below. 7 If the TUSB3410 driver has not been installed, it will install automatically. Select "Install this driver software anyway (I)" if the Windows security message is displayed as below. 9 When the installation is complete, restart your system. NOTE NOTE yyTo use the True Color Finder function, you must purchase the supported calibrator. yyFor details on supported calibrators and graphic cards, see the True Color Finder user guide. yyIf you have changed the input port, it is recommend that you calibrate the monitor's picture quality again. When you run the True Color Finder software, the True Color Finder icon [] appears in the system tray at the right bottom of the PC screen. Right-click the True Color Finder icon and select "Start Program" to start the program. NOTE If you run Screen Split, the Screen Split icon [ ] appears in the system tray at the right bottom of the PC screen. Right-click the Screen Split icon and select a layout you want. CAUTION yyOnce you have completed the monitor calibration with the True Color Finder software, remove the calibrator from the monitor and store it at room temperature away from direct sunlight or put it in the box. - If the calibrator's measuring part is exposed to direct sunlight for a long time, this may cause damage to the calibrator. - Do not store it in an environment with too low/high temperature and high humidity. yyIf any third-party calibration application is already installed on your PC, the image quality may be affected by a conflict between the two applications. For the best performance, it is recommended to uninstall the other calibration application. 26 CUSTOMIZING SETTINGS ENGLISH ENG CUSTOMIZING SETTINGS Activating the Main Menu 1 Press the Menu () button. 2 Use the <, > buttons to adjust the options. To return to the upper menu or set other menu items, use the Menu () button. 3 Press and hold the Menu () button to exit the OSD menu. /PBP Monitor buttons Button Description Menu () If the menu is disabled Enables the main menu. If the menu is enabled Goes to the previous screen when the button is pressed; exits the OSD menu when the button is pressed and held for over 3 seconds. If the menu is disabled Adjusts the volume level of the monitor. If the menu is enabled Left directional key If the menu is disabled Adjusts the volume level of the monitor. If the menu is enabled Right directional key OK/PBP If the menu is enabled Selects the function. If the menu is disabled Enables the PBP shortcut menu. (Power Button) Powers on or off. Power Indicator When the monitor is in operating mode, the power indicator will turn red (powered on). When the monitor is in power-saving mode, the power indicator will blink red. NOTE All of the buttons are touch sensitive and can be operated by simply touching the bottom of the monitor with your finger. CUSTOMIZING SETTINGS 27 ENGLISH ENG Customizing settings Menu Settings 1 To view the Menu OSD, press the Menu () button at the bottom of the monitor. 2 Use the < or > buttons to set the options. 3 Select to exit the OSD menu. Ratio Input Volume Contrast Brightness All Exit Color Picture Settings Reset Each option is described below. Menu Description Brightness Adjusts the color contrast and brightness of the screen. Contrast Volume Adjusts the volume. NOTEyySelecting the OK/PBP button in the Volume menu will enable/disable the Mute function. Input Selects the current input mode. Ratio Adjusts the screen ratio. Func. Adjusts ECO, calibration, and picture modes. PBP Displays the screens of two input modes on one monitor. Picture Adjusts the sharpness, black level, and response time of the screen.
