Setup Connection Tab Schedule server • Server Connection Settings • The client automatically connects to the server. • When a connection is disconnected, the client connects to another server automatically. • The client connects to the server manually. (Enter the IP address of the server). Content server • Up to two (2) content servers can be configured. • Enter the IP address of the server. Name • Setting Name • The ID of the server to connect to • Client ID 1 Schedule server • Automatic connection using server name : If the schedule server and client are on the same sub network, the client connects to the servers using their name. • Reconnecting another server when disconnected : If a connection is disconnected, the client connects to another server on the same sub network automatically. • Direct connection using IP address : The client connects to the schedule server with the entered IP address. : The client can connect to the schedule server even though they are not on the same network. However, if the server has a private IP address on a private network, the client cannot connect to it. Therefore, the schedule server must be installed with a public IP address on a network. 2Content server • Connect content servers : Select this option when you want to use separate schedule and content servers. : If you select this option, all the content files are downloaded or streamed from the specified content server and the schedule server performs only the schedules and the remote control function. • Preferred IP : Enter the IP address of the computer that operates as the primary content server. • Arternate IP : Enter the IP address of the computer that operates when the primary content server cannot be connected to. 3Name • Server : Enter the name of the schedule server that the client connects to. • Client : Set the name of the monitor to connect to the schedule server. Program Tab Startup • Select the program performed when the client starts. Automatic updates • Select how to perform automatic updates. 1Startup • Sets the program to be performed when the client starts. • You can select one of two programs, or select neither of them. • Player: Runs a media player program that can be run using the remote control and can receive and play the content that exists on the server. (MagicInfo Pro) • Runs the program that displays the information. This program displays a screen that is created on the server at the specified time and can be controlled remotely. 2 Automatic update • Sets the option for updating the client program automatically. • Do not update automatically: Updating is not performed automatically. • Check and update at fixed time: Checks the update version at the specified time every day and updates the client if necessary. • Check and update whenever the program starts: Checks the update version whenever the program starts and updates the client if necessary. Screen Tab Logo screen : the main screen of the Signage Scheduler program. • Background: Sets the background color. • File: Sets the logo screen. (A flash, photo, and movie file can be set.) Schedule folder : Sets the location of the schedule file. • Target: Sets the location of the screen design file and content file. • Space: Sets the size limit for the files to be downloaded. Local Schedule : Sets the local schedule options. • Copy and play from a removable disk: Copies the schedule file from a USB device to the FDM and then runs it. • Play directly from a removable disk: Runs the schedule file directly from the USB device. 1 Logo screen • Sets the initial screen of the scheduler or the screen to be displayed between schedules. • Background: Sets the background for the entire screen. • File: Sets the logo screen to be displayed on the background. (A flash, photo, or movie file can be set.) 2 Schedule folder • Sets the directory which the content to be scheduled is downloaded to and managed in and manages the size of the disk. • Target: Sets the target directory. (You should set a directory on the D: drive or a removable disk, as the C: drive is used for the system.) • Space: Sets the disk size limit used for the schedule.Between 10% to 90% of the available free space can be set. 3Local schedule • Sets the options required when you perform a schedule using a USB device instead of the network. • Copy and Play from a removable disk : Copies the schedule that exists on a USB device to the schedule folder and then plays the copied schedule. You can remove the USB device after copying it. • Play directly from a removable disk : Plays the schedule that exists on a USB device directly. If you remove the USB device, the schedule exits. Options Tab Other Options • Show loading screen before program start: Displays a loading screen from the time after your computer is booted to the time before the main program starts. • Do not show system message: Do not show the system messages generated by Windows.
