The glass tray and roller guide must always be in place during cooking. • Shut the door. Make sure that it is firmly closed. 1. When the oven door is opened, the light turns on. 2. The oven door can be opened at any time during operation by pressing the door release button on the control panel. The oven will automatically shut off. To restart the oven, close the door and then touch START. 3. Each time a pad is touched, a BEEP will sound to acknowledge the touch. One of the function pads must be touched before the number pads. Therefore, no beep will sound if the numeral pad is touched before the function pad. 4. The oven automatically cooks on high power and defrosts on low power. 5. The display will flash “1:01” when the oven is plugged in. After 1 minute, the display will change. 6. Time of day clock returns to the present time when the oven turns off. 7. When the CANCEL pad is touched during the oven operation, the oven stops cooking and all information is erased. If the oven door is opened during the oven operation, all information is retained. 8. If the START pad is touched and the oven does not operate, check the area between the door and door seal for obstructions and make sure the door is closed securely. The oven will not start cooking until the door is completely closed and the program has been set. CARE AND MAINTENANCE > Cleaning Your Appliance • Turn the oven off and remove the power plug from the wall socket before cleaning. • Keep the inside of the oven clean. When food splatters or spilled liquids adhere to oven walls, wipe with a damp cloth. Mild detergent may be used if the oven gets very dirty. The use of harsh detergent or abrasives is not recommended. • The outside oven surfaces should be cleaned with a damp cloth. To prevent damage to the operating parts inside the oven, water should not be allowed to seep into the ventilation openings. • Do not allow the control panel to become wet. Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use detergents, abrasives or spray-on cleaners on the control Panel. When cleaning the control Panel, leave oven door open to prevent oven from accidentally turning on. • If steam accumulates inside or around the outside of the oven door, wipe with a soft cloth. This may occur when the microwave oven is operated under high humidity conditions and in no way indicates malfunction of the unit • It is occasionally necessary to remove the glass tray for cleaning. Wash the tray in warm sudsy water or in a dishwasher. • The roller ring and oven cavity floor should be cleaned regularly to avoid excessive noise. Simply .wipe the bottom surface of the oven with mild detergent, water or window cleaner and dry. The roller ring may be washed in mild sudsy water or dishwasher. Cooking vapors collect during repeated use but in no way affect the bottom surface or roller ring wheels. When removing the roller ring from cavity floor for cleaning, be sure to replace it in the proper position. • Remove odors from your oven by combining a cup of water with the juice and skin of one lemon in a deep microwavable bowl. Microwave for 5 minutes. Wipe thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth. • When it becomes necessary to replace the oven light, please consult a dealer to have it replaced. 11 IDENTIFYING THE OVEN CONTROLS > NUMERAL PADS (1,2....9,0) • Use to enter the numbers, when setting the time, power level, etc. > POWER LEVEL • Use to set the power level. • This oven has 10 power levels. The power level selections are from 10% to 100% of power output. • The oven automatically cooks on power level “10” (high power) unless it is set for a lower power level. • To check power level during cooking, touch POWER LEVEL pad.
