After configuring your LAN connection settings and Q-Share, you are able to share your data with computers on the same network, making full use of Internet resources. GIGABYTE g Q-Share Ver.1.0 Directions for using Q-Share After installing Q-Share from the motherboard driver disk, go to Start>AII Programs>GIGABYTE> Q-Share.exe to launch the Q-Share tool. Find the Q-Share icon £ in your system tray and right-click on this icon to configure the data sharing settings. Enable Incoming Folder... Exits Q-Share (Note) This option is available only when data sharing is NOT enabled. -TH Unique Features 4-6 Time Repair Based on the Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Services technology, Time Repair allows you to quickly back up and restore your system data in the Windows Vista operating system. Time Repair supports NTFS file system and can restore system data on PATA and SATA hard drives. System Restore Choose a system restore point using the navigation bar on the right or at the bottom of the screen to view the system data backed up at different time. You can choose file(s)/directory(ies) and click the Copy button to restore the file(s)/directory(ies) or click Restore to restore the entire system. When this limit is reached, the oldest shadow copy will be deleted and unable to be restored. Shadow copies are read-only so you cannot edit the contents of a shadow copy. GA-EP45T-UD3LR Motherboard - 78 - Chapter 5 Appendix 5-1 Configuring SATA Hard Drive(s) To configure SATA hard drive(s), follow the steps below: A. Install SATA hard drive(s) in your computer. B. Configure SATA controller mode in BIOS Setup. C. Configure a RAID array in RAID BIOS. (Note 11 D. Make a floppy disk containing the SATA RAID/AHCI driver. (Note 2) E. Install the SATA RAID/AHCI driver and operating system. Installing SATA hard drive(s) in your computer Attach one end of the SATA signal cable to the rear of the SATA hard drive and the other end to an available SATA port on the motherboard. Then connect the power connector from your power supply to the hard drive. (Note 1) Skip this step if you do not want to create RAID array on the SATA controller. (Note 2) Required when the SATA controller is set to AHCI or RAID mode. - 79 - Appendix B. Configuring SATA controller mode in BIOS Setup Make sure to configure the SATA controller mode correctly in system BIOS Setup Step 1: Turn on your computer and press to enter BIOS Setup during the POST (Power-On Self-Test). To create RAID, set SATA RAID/AHCI Mode under the Integrated Peripherals menu to RAID (Figure 1)(Disabled by default). If you do not want to create RAID, set this item to Disabled or AHCI.
