Avoid direct exposure to beam. 3 3207.qxd 28.10.03 13:10 Page ~Q- ENGLISH CONTROL OPERATION AND FUNCTION • POWER SUPPLY This unit is designed to operate on AC mains supply or 6V DC by using 4 pieces UM-1 size or equivalent batteries. (Batteries not included) • AC OPERATION Insert one end of the AC power cord into AC socket of the set and the other end into an AC wall outlet. The batteries will be automatically disconnected. • DC OPERATION Open the BATTERY DOOR. Install 4 pcs UM-1 size batteries. Please make sure they are inserted with correct polarity and close the door. Your unit is now ready for operation. • SPEAKER CONNECTIONS 1. Place the pair of speakers on the right and left side of the set. 2. Join the speakers to the main unit by positioning the two hooks of the speaker boxes into the sliding edges of the main unit. Then pull down until the speakers are locked into position. 3. Once the speakers have been locked into position. Connect the left and the right speaker plugs into rear SPEAKER JACKS according to the correct marking. 4. To detach the speakers from main unit, pull up the speaker little while pushing the “SPEAKER RELEASE LOCKS”. WARNING: Speakers must be plugged into the jacks firmly before switch on the power of unit. • RADIO OPERATION A. Set FUNCTION SWITCH to "RADIO" position and set BAND SWITCH to your desired radio band position. B. Tune in to your desired radio station with the TUNING knob. C.
