Anleitung Zusammenfassung
It may create a traffic hazard and is illegal in many areas. • You should use extreme caution or temporarily discontinue use in potentially hazardous situations. • Even if your headphones are an open-air type designed to let you hear outside sounds, do not adjust the volume too high so that you can hear what is around you. 2 IB-1126(CL)-WM-E-070506 Congratulations! You now own a personal radio cassette player, able to offer personal listening with your headphones. BATTERY INSTALLATION Slide the BATTERY DOOR as the arrow direction to open it, and insert 2 size “AA” batteries, taking care not to reverse the positive and negative polarities. Alkaline batteries are recommended and will normally provide more playing time. • Do not mix old and new batteries. • Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries. NOTE: • Remove both batteries during long periods (about 30 days or more) of non-use, possible battery leakage and corrosion can damage the set. • If the sound becomes weak and unclear, the batteries may be weak. Replace both batteries at once. LISTENING TO THE RADIO You may listen to the radio through the stereo headphones. 1. Plug the headphones plug into the HEADPHONES jack. 2. Slide the FUNCTION switch to AM or FM position. 3. Select the desired station with the TUNING control (adjust for clearest sound). 4. Adjust the VOLUME control for the most pleasing sound. 5. When listening is completed, slide the FUNCTION switch to the TAPE (RADIO OFF) position. As the headphones cord functions as the FM antenna, do not bunch it up. Unwind and extend the cord as much as possible. 3 IB-1126(CL)-WM-E-070506 CLEANING TAPE HEAD If the sound drops out or excessive noise occurs, clean the magnetic head, capstan and pinch roller with a cotton swab moistened with alcohol. PINCH ROLLER CAPSTAN COTTON SWAB MAGNETIC HEAD TROUBLE SHOOTING PROBLEM CHECK THE FOLLOWING No sound. Is the headphones plugged into the jack? -Plug it in now. Is the VOLUME control at minimum? -Raise the volume. Are the batteries old or dead? -Replace both batteries. PLAY button will not stay down. The tape has reached the end. Remove the tape, flip it over to the other side and insert into cassette door and press PLAY . AM/FM reception weak. Rotate the set for better AM or bring it closer to a window. For FM, extend the headphones wire straight. Poor quality playback after playing a long time. 1. Check if both batteries are fresh and inserted correctly. 2. Use a tape cleaning cassette tape to clean the tape head (available at most radio stores). Tape stops in middle of play. Try a different tape. Tape may be damaged. Also try fast forwarding tape till the end. NORMAL BATTERY LIFE USING ALKALINE BATTERIES IS ABOUT 11 HOURS OF CASSETTE PLAYING TIME. Tape jamming or tangling. 1. Use only better quality tapes. 2. Do not use a cassette with more than 90 minutes. 3. Make sure there are no loose layers of tape visible before inserting the cassette. 5 IB-1126(CL)-WM-E-070506 GENERAL SPECIFICATION Output power (Max) : More than 20 mW/ch Power source : 2 size “AA” alkaline batteries (not included) Tape Section Speed deviation : +3% -2% Frequency response : Standard normal bias cassette tape 100Hz – 8kHz Radio Section Frequency range: FM: 88 – 108 MHz AM: 530 – 1700 kHz LIMITED WARRANTY We warrant this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of 90 days after purchase and we will repair it free of charge or replace it at no charge, should it become defective under this warranty, providing you submit proof of purchase (sales slip) with the set.
